I have always loved taking care of the elderly. You have to have the heart. I started out by being there for my mom until she left me. Then when I lossed her I said why not take care of others. I hope I be able to have the same done for myself if I be around that long. Honest, Dependable, Trustworthy.. I like to have fun get to know my client. Become friends and have a relationship. I was a nurse for 28 years and then became ill with several other immune diseases and how to stop that. Turn that time I have always just for caring for people indeed I took care of my mom when she passed I took care of my cousin when he passed with ALS and I took care of my cousin when she had cancer and I thought I can do this I know I can do this so here I am. And as a side note I am the very proud grandparent to two wonderful little girls that live in Dallas Texas, so I do tend to talk about them a lot! Lol

I was eleven yrs old and my grandfather was diagnose with colon cancer. I would spend my summers helping my grandmother care for my grandfather. We did it all, transfers, bathing, changing, distributing of medication and even cleaning of the colostomy bags. Even though some of the care was a little in tense, I recevied joy just knowing I was contributing to his well being. Lets be honest we all have to go down that road one day and I just want the same respect dignity and care that I provide. That was when i decided to be a caregiver. What i like about being a caregiver is that i love helping each client/resident I've ever worked for. Helping the sick/elderly that needs my help gives me happiness knowing im doing my part to help others. My personal achievement that I am proud of would be the day that I finished something that I have started which was the day I received my certification in Nurses Aid. I am a caring and compassionate nurse aide, very friendly and out going . I am cpr certified and have had a my tb shot. I've worked in several nursing homes, memory care units to total dependent patients. Alongside of being a Home Heath cna. I'm a certified nursing Assistant and have been for 3 years now I comepleted a 6 month course. I'm a quick learner and very easy to adapt to new changes. I'm very understanding and patient. In my 3 years of being a cna I have gained a lot of experience.

What makes me a great caregiver is that I will care for your loved one as my own and give them the best quality care within my ability! I became a caregiver because it is definitely my passion, something I love to do! I like being a caregiver because of the intellect and bond between the senior and myself ! It's definitely an honor being to grow bonds with families. A personal achievement of mine would be being able to take care of my grandma all while watching her health decline her, knowing she was going to pass away, but was able to care for her while dealing with such a disheartening time definitely made me feel very good about my self and now my business.
