I became a caregiver as a stepping stone to becoming a nurse. I thought that it would provide me some insight into whether or not I would enjoy nursing, and now I love my job. I consider being a caregiver a career before my career. I enjoy spending time with those who could benefit from my services, as I feel I could benefit from their knowledge. I have the stomach to handle the harder side of the job, and the compassion to ensure that no patient of mine will ever feel uncomfortable asking me for help. Hello I am an Nurse by trade and am looking for new ways to help people. I have spent over 10 years offering education and rehab assistance for patients. I have strong knowledge with diabetes education/prevention/treatment, wound care, COPD, etc... I am CPR certified and IV certified. I also can offer alot of assistance with medication questions and set. Everyone I have every taken care of has been an extension of my own family and each one gets complete care and compassion and treated like a human being.

Because I believe it is our job to care for each other Spending time with people. Deciding to return to school I am a grandmother of four who has a deep desire to complete my education before I turn 60 . I can not tell my children or grand children how important an education is if I quit now.

Ive worked in many settings such as assisted living, palliative care, hospice and I've also worked for a hospital. Something interesting about me is that I've been taking care of my quadriplegic sister since I was 9 years old. Everything I've learned was from taking care of her so I always do everything with the up most love and respect for patients. When I graduated high school pre-suing my dreams in law enforcement wasn't easy. I had a son and I didn't have child care for the time I would have been in police academy. But being a Dispatcher is another way for me to be in law enforcement. I love my job but being a single mother extra income is always needed. I'm always a open book.
