After she passed away, I went back to school to become a CNA and Hhc so I could specialize in caring for patients with ALS and the elderly patients. Since then, I have cared for 4 additional people who have all been diagnosed with ALS. Between in home care, doctors visits and hospital stays I have been with these amazing people every step of the way through this debilitating disease. I am a caring and loving person. Before starting my business 2 years ago, I was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 2 years in a local skilled nursing facility. I still hold my certification and absolutely love working with seniors. I cared for and specialized in residents with dementia and mostly worked in the dementia unit of the facility I was in. I treat all my residents with the same love and care that I would my own family. What makes me a great caregiver is the way I care for others. I like to take care of others as I would want to be cared for, I give lots of love, I am very kind, caring, thoughful, and always thrive to make sure the saftey of whom I caring for is well attended and cared for in the most safest way possible. I became a caregiver long before I became an adult. I would always reach out to help others and as I grew older it all came so naturally. I like being a caregiver honestly to help others in need, to have the best possible care that a person or child can receive, I know why I am here and its to help others. Caregiving was not my Arena I first learned about it when my dad was terminal in 2007 and we hired a fantastic hospice team team. Throughout his illness and eventual death I saw the most compassion caring individuals then I had ever been blessed to meet. it was at that time that I decided I needed to give back. It was not in my plan to do this for an extended length of time but I find that I love what I do and I am very good at it. The thing I am most proud of is that my reputation has led me to many referrals and have kept me working this is not just my job this is my passion.
