I cared for seniors between the ages of 68 and 84 in large groups of 3-6 seniors. I also have experience with cancer recovery, when I worked as a private homecare assistant for a year. I have great references, live in West Seattle and currently doing the last year of my early childhood development degree part time and online. I became a caregiver because I took care of my old mother that needed help and couldn't care for herself people came in my house and did not give my mother the cares that she needed and I felt so sorry for her so I had to leave one of my job to help her. 2. Being a caregiver I like helping older people meet their needs helping them reach their goals and seeing smiles on their faces.My personal achievement that I am proud of when I go to work and I make my resident smile and they know that they have someone every day to look up to that make them to feel they are love and care for. I feel "Care" is the most lightly taken word. "To care" doesn't just mean to supervise someone physically, it goes beyond that and it takes a very emotional yet strong person to take care of someone else who doesn't just need a shoulder but also a little smile, and loads of fun. That's how I took care of a couple of people, my family and non-family (who eventually became a part of my life). I care about people the way I would expect others to care for me and that makes me a better caregiver. I never took it as a profession until I came to the US and accidentally did a couple of assignments, which made me realize that I am good at it. I am compassionate, have a pleasing personality, an inquisitive mind, a curious soul and blessed with an untiring smiling face. I can be a chatterbox or NOT (depending on the person's mood), can talk on different topics, a very good listener (love listening to the stories and experiences), creatively driven, love cooking (my previous clients can vouch for it :)), a coffee drinker and love weight lifting. I am a learner and never leave any chance to pick up something from others' experiences. I am a content/ digital marketer by profession, a wanderer, a nurturer and learner by nature.
