I have always had a passion for helping seniors even as a very young adult. I cared for my grandmother with love and patience, but always with the respect and dignity that she deserved. I feel most comfortable when in the caregiving position. My strengths are empathy, compassion and patience..always with a smile! I am very reliable and punctual. I have extensive experience working with seniors in many different capacities, from parkinsons, MS, alzheimers, dementia, stroke, and wheelchair bound. I have worked in hospital settings as a CNA, nursing homes, hospice centers, and assisted living centers. I helped with all ADL's, including bathing, transfers, errands, meal prep, toileting, light housekeeping and engaging in social activities with clients including walks, cards and games! I would love the opportunity to help your loved one remain independent in their own home while providing safe care and companionship to them!

A personal achievement I am most proud of is my volunteer work at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital where I was assigned to the Oncology Unit and working just to make the children on that unit love, play, or do artwork taught me how precious life is and how even the smallest kindness matters more than we know. For me caregiver is angels, I choose this profession not just to earned, it's the passion within to served, to share my Gods greatest gifts and to continue my mission to help others. I don't have to much skills but I believe that Attitude is better than Skills. Four years ago I retired from nursing. Recently, I moved to Phoenix Arizona to be near family. I have one married daughter in Phoenix where I presently reside, and another married daughter in Peoria. My daughter and son-in-law in Peoria have one daughter and are currently expecting their second child. Prior to moving here, my most recent pertinent work experience was as a homecare non-medical provider to an senior woman in her Kansas home. Though hired as "non-medical care provider" much of my assistance with this woman did revolve around her medical needs as she was an end-stage cancer patient, as well as diabetic. I helped manage her medication schedule, transportation and ensuring she went to medical/doctor appointments. I also monitored her daily health needs such as blood pressure, blood sugars, etc. I would like to care for you or a loved one in your home, and assist you with some of your care needs. I am willing to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparations, exercise/physical therapy programs, transportation and occasional errands or grocery shopping. Caregiving is something that I should've started to do a long time ago. I believe being a caregiver is a natural talent for me. I love spending time with people of all ages. I really enjoy looking after my sister's children and I also find great joy in spending time with my grandparents. Making them happy and comfortable is rewarding. I like being the person that can help with daily activities, it is a fulfilling position. I'm thankful that I'm capable and compassionate about caregiving, I think it's a blessing to be a blessing.

I became a caregiver because I thought taking care of the elderly was just a good deed to the community. Hello. I became a caregiver to my father in 2010 after my mother passed. I enjoyed it immensely and loved every moment I got to spend giving back to dad for all he has done for me over the years. He passed in 2018. From there I was hired with a wonderful company that does transportation and VIP services for seniors and cancer patients. I meet so many great people and enjoy making a difference in their lives. I do this job part time and would like to also find a special senior who is in need of assistance 1 or 2 days a week on this site. I specialize in transportation to appointments or errands.
