I cared for seniors between the ages of 68 and 84 in large groups of 3-6 seniors. I also have experience with cancer recovery, when I worked as a private homecare assistant for a year. I have great references, live in West Seattle and currently doing the last year of my early childhood development degree part time and online. Hello and thank you for your consideration. I have been a caregiver since I took care of my grandmother 15 years ago. I have a happy optimistic personality, am pleasant and well spoken. I have a natural easygoing rapport with most elders. I know it isn't easy getting older. Not every day is a good day and I know when to step back and allow for a little more peace and quiet. The last long term person I was honored to care for was 94 years old. I was with him for 7 years. I managed all of his personal care, medications, doctor's appointments, transportation needs. I managed all household needs such as grocery shopping and household maintenance. The last 6 months he was bedridden. I took care of all his advanced care needs. In the last year leading up to his passing, I managed a 24 hour care team. When I care for a loved one, whether a younger or a bit older senior, I want them to trust in my care and to have a peace of mind. As a caregiver, I provide that.
