My name is Christina Lopez. I have been a caregiver for 10 plus years. I am very compassionate and love to help the elderly continue to be independent as much as they can in their own home. I have always loved helping others and enjoy spending my time with elderly. They always have such great stories from their life experiences. I was with my last patients for 7 years. In that time I grew to love them very much as if they were my own grandparents.

Since I was a child, I've loved helping other people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and circumstances. What excites me most about this position is the opportunity to help those with disabilities live happier, healthier lives. I think helping other people affects the local community positively, so I'd feel honored to accept such a vital role. I'm interested in being a caregiver because I'd like to increase the amount of care the elderly population receives. As I learned through my previous health care experience, this population often benefits from caregivers who provide companionship and who pay attention to detail. This can help improve the daily lives of this population. I'd love to be a part of that effort through this position and help improve the kind of care this group receives

I have been a certified Medical Assistant for over eight years. Therefor my scope is wider then a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I have many years of work experience working with Geriatric population. My certification and BLS CPR are current. I am available for evening care and weekends.

That alone made me happy to go to work every day. I have been in the care giving business for over ten years. I am very dependable, a team player, self-motivated, loyal, a quick learner, honest, organized and I am very dedicated to what my patient and family needs and wants. I don't look at this as a job I take caring for my patients as a passion. I have worked in hospitals, assisted living, and privet duty home care for over 20 years. I am a caring and compassionate person and will alway work hard for each family.

I consider myself to be compassionate person with our elders, they need us now. Is not easy life for them and they know that. This create a depression to our elder people. I learn in all my 20 years experience how to understand our elders I learn more from their in life. I'm a great caregiver because I'm passionate about helping others! I began taking care of my Disabled Mother when she was diagnosed with Dementia. I was also taking care of a good friend of mine.

I became a caregiver because of my Mother she had became ill and I wanted to care for her but because I was not experienced in the health field she wanted some one who was in the health care field, so she had to go to the hospital and when I went to visit her I seen that she was in pain and uncomfortable in the hospital bed, and I tried to help her but did not know how too, and that made me very angry, so I decided to take a class in nursing Assistant and Home Health, but by the time I was finished with the course my Mother passed away. which helped me to see that their are others that need help in their homes and in nursing homes and I wanted do it for my mother to care to those in need and, I love caring for others, and I know my Mother is smiling down on me every time I make a difference in helping someone to live their life as much as possible. My greatest achievement is when making life better for others, like I met a lady who had had a stroke and her husband was caring for her and she was having problems with her hands stiffening up so I made her a home made device to help her be able to open and close her hand for exercise, so she could regain her strength in her hands and move her fingers. It was just rolled up towels but it helped her and made a difference and she was so pleased and so was I.

I have been in the medical field for 10 years. I started as a caregiver in 2010, because I enjoy helping others especially the elderly. In 2012 I decided to go to school to become a Medical Assistant, I completed my Medical Assistant course with high honors.
