I have always loved helping others and enjoy spending my time with elderly. They always have such great stories from their life experiences. I was with my last patients for 7 years. In that time I grew to love them very much as if they were my own grandparents.

I have been a certified Medical Assistant for over eight years. Therefor my scope is wider then a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I have many years of work experience working with Geriatric population. My certification and BLS CPR are current. I am available for evening care and weekends.

I'm a great caregiver because I'm passionate about helping others! I began taking care of my Disabled Mother when she was diagnosed with Dementia. I was also taking care of a good friend of mine.

I became a caregiver because of my Mother she had became ill and I wanted to care for her but because I was not experienced in the health field she wanted some one who was in the health care field, so she had to go to the hospital and when I went to visit her I seen that she was in pain and uncomfortable in the hospital bed, and I tried to help her but did not know how too, and that made me very angry, so I decided to take a class in nursing Assistant and Home Health, but by the time I was finished with the course my Mother passed away. which helped me to see that their are others that need help in their homes and in nursing homes and I wanted do it for my mother to care to those in need and, I love caring for others, and I know my Mother is smiling down on me every time I make a difference in helping someone to live their life as much as possible. My greatest achievement is when making life better for others, like I met a lady who had had a stroke and her husband was caring for her and she was having problems with her hands stiffening up so I made her a home made device to help her be able to open and close her hand for exercise, so she could regain her strength in her hands and move her fingers. It was just rolled up towels but it helped her and made a difference and she was so pleased and so was I.

My name is Mary I have been hospice aid for about 12 years now , I love the occupation, my goal as a caregiver is making my pts feel loved and cared about, I want them to be as comfortable as possible , it Brings joy to my eyes when I see my patients happy, as I know I am doing my job! I have been in the medical field for 10 years. I started as a caregiver in 2010, because I enjoy helping others especially the elderly. In 2012 I decided to go to school to become a Medical Assistant, I completed my Medical Assistant course with high honors. I have been doing both Medical Assistant and Caregiving for the last 8 years and I wouldn't have it any other way, I love what I do and I love the quality time that I'm able to spend with each of my clients.

I love caring for others who are in need. I was in the Army and went to Iraq twice and it felt good to assist when someone was in need on the battle field. I served 9 years in the Army and decided to get out so I can become a Nurse, I just finished LVN school and hopefully next year I can start the RN program.
