I was attracted to being a caregiver because I wanted to be able to help people be able to do things they are unable to do without help . I just wanted to help them have the normal life they would have if they were able to do so .

I knew I wanted to take care of people when my grandpa was sick when I was in 6th and 7th grade. Visiting him in the nursing home and hospital pushing him around and making him smile was the best feeling ever. I decided to go to Lawrence County Vo-tech for my 11th and 12th grade year to become a CNA and started working my senior year in November 2008. In 2012 I left that job to go to the facility my grandma resided in until she was well enough to go home which was about 2.5 years, and continued to work until I moved in 2016 I currently am working for St. Barnabas now as a hospice aide part time. I recieved an award for employee of the month in August from them. Overall, I enjoy helping care for people, and make them feel good about themselves. A smile of appreciation in return is so rewarding.

I am a trustworthy, flexible, compassionate person. I am interested in helping others and always put others well being in front of mine. I have always wanted to do something in the medical field so that is why I am interested in working with the elderly. I have almost two years experience working as a Personal Care Aid.

I am 51 years old and ready to start a very new chapter in my life. For the past 21 years I have dedicated my life to raising my sons and providing a loving , happy home for my husband and children. Now, as an empty nester, I have decided that I want to dedicate time and attention to senior citizens. I feel they deserve respect and kindness. When my sons were young, we all enjoyed spending time with my grandparents who were full of interesting stories of their childhoods, and always provided great wisdom and advice. There is always a lot to be learned from talking to our senior people. I am a reliable, hard working, organized and honest employee that I'm confident my references could verify. Some of my hobbies would include working out, traveling and spending time cooking for my family.

I am a very outgoing, compassionate who enjoys assisting the elderly in their daily lives. My favorite part is all the stories and life experiences you hear/get to be apart of when you're an aide.

What drove me to be a passionate caregiver, was the influence of my mother and how she effected many families lives. Although, I have 2.5 years experience legally working as a caregiver/nurses aide, I have had experience going to work with my mother in my early years of high school. Also, I have many family members/close family friends who have struggled with disabilities, such as Alzheimer's, dementia, healing from surgeries, MR, paralyzed, in wheel chairs, anxiety, cancer, and depression. So including all of those, I have years upon years of experience. I have my own vehicle/drivers license/ etc. so I would be available to provide transportation. I would be a great caregiver for you and your family because I have a GREAT passion for helping/Caring for others, and making them comfortable no matter the situation.
