I knew I wanted to take care of people when my grandpa was sick when I was in 6th and 7th grade. Visiting him in the nursing home and hospital pushing him around and making him smile was the best feeling ever. I decided to go to Lawrence County Vo-tech for my 11th and 12th grade year to become a CNA and started working my senior year in November 2008. In 2012 I left that job to go to the facility my grandma resided in until she was well enough to go home which was about 2.5 years, and continued to work until I moved in 2016 I currently am working for St. Barnabas now as a hospice aide part time. I recieved an award for employee of the month in August from them. Overall, I enjoy helping care for people, and make them feel good about themselves. A smile of appreciation in return is so rewarding.

I am a trustworthy, flexible, compassionate person. I am interested in helping others and always put others well being in front of mine. I have always wanted to do something in the medical field so that is why I am interested in working with the elderly. I have almost two years experience working as a Personal Care Aid.

What drove me to be a passionate caregiver, was the influence of my mother and how she effected many families lives. Although, I have 2.5 years experience legally working as a caregiver/nurses aide, I have had experience going to work with my mother in my early years of high school. Also, I have many family members/close family friends who have struggled with disabilities, such as Alzheimer's, dementia, healing from surgeries, MR, paralyzed, in wheel chairs, anxiety, cancer, and depression. So including all of those, I have years upon years of experience. I have my own vehicle/drivers license/ etc. so I would be available to provide transportation. I would be a great caregiver for you and your family because I have a GREAT passion for helping/Caring for others, and making them comfortable no matter the situation. I became a caregiver because I enjoy helping people. While in school I got my CNA an have done that for 10+ years. Currently I'm a stay at home mom to 3 children ages 10, 8 & 6.

I've enjoyed being a caregiver for over 15 years now. I started in a nursing home, and then, after my father became ill, I took over all of his care. I have been doing private in home care ever since. It gives me much joy to be able to help others .... whether it be as a caregiver, friend, or great listener to loved ones and their families. In the last 5 years, I've been involved with private in home hospice care.
