Hello! My name is Beth. I am 39 years old & the mother to 2 boys (21 & 10). Throughout my entire life I have been referred to as an "old soul", often relating to & befriending folks over 60. I am very outgoing I love taking care of the elderly I have a passion for what I do. Making sure they are Happy and getting the care they need and deserve. Treating them with love and respect. My 1st caregiver job was my Aunt that was very sick. I took care of her until the end of life. And then my grandparents. And it just went on from there. And I knew it was my calling. Because I loved what I did. What I like most is the wisdom and conversations of there life the things they did when they were young. It's amazing to sit down vh and just listen and give thembloge and attention. I am most proud of the many Elderly people that I have taken care of and known in the 31+ years I have been a caregiver and I wouldn't change it for anything it taught me a lot. I took an interest in the medical field at the age of 20 during my schooling for Cosmetology. I went on to school an earn an associate degree in medical science as a Medical Assistant. What makes me a great caregiver my heart is about the client and they care and well bein and making sure they are cared for properly and have a companionship with there making it about them letting them know they are still loved and no matter what I'm there for any needs to be met by them I became a caregiver because I use to go to work with my mom and watch her care for her clients and I always told myself I wanted to be someone who could be there for someone who could not be there for themselves and I want them to know I'm there for them and they are like family to me in anyways to be I being doing this over 20 yrs I have well experience caring for patients in there homes in the assist facilities and nursing home home I even worked in group homes I know how to use the hoyer lift and transfers meal prep dealing with medication reminders and doing the medication ADL for the clients cooking, cleaning , grooming went to the Doctor appointments and having a companionship with them letting them know it's about them and not me because my duty is to make sure they are comfortable
