What makes me a great caregiver my heart is about the client and they care and well bein and making sure they are cared for properly and have a companionship with there making it about them letting them know they are still loved and no matter what I'm there for any needs to be met by them I became a caregiver because I use to go to work with my mom and watch her care for her clients and I always told myself I wanted to be someone who could be there for someone who could not be there for themselves and I want them to know I'm there for them and they are like family to me in anyways to be I being doing this over 20 yrs I have well experience caring for patients in there homes in the assist facilities and nursing home home I even worked in group homes I know how to use the hoyer lift and transfers meal prep dealing with medication reminders and doing the medication ADL for the clients cooking, cleaning , grooming went to the Doctor appointments and having a companionship with them letting them know it's about them and not me because my duty is to make sure they are comfortable

I have been raised by my grandmother and have been with her until she passed away. She has a hip replacement and I was taking care of her all the time and I loved doing it. That's why I become a caregiver,because I am a very compassionate person who is caring and very responsible. I love talking Care of people specially for the elderly and sick one. My name is Diane! I'm a mother of three and a grandmother of seven. In the year of 1979 I was a caregiver to my terminally ill grandmother. After she passed away in the year of 1980 I then further my education in health field to learn all I can about caring for the elderly. I attended a class in 1981 after she expired and I've been working in a he field since. Also in 2013 I for a caregiver for my Mom when she passed away in May 2013 and a caregiver for my daughter in 2013 when she flatlined and still her caregiver. So this is a passion I've had since I graduated in 1976 and still do the best in it. I have outstanding references upon request!

I love to be a caregiver because my grandparents was very old and I took good care of them ,I love to be around Senior citizen because I love them so much also love old stories. I started out as a student at a small facility in malakoff tx, I got certified almost 3 years ago and learned quite a bit becoming a CNA. I believe one of the reasons I am a great caregiver is because I take my time, encourage and follow safety protocols when working with the clients. I keep it professional and I know how to keep what could seem like a bad day a great day! I have worked in nursing homes, hospitals, home healthcare and hospice. I am very outgoing I love taking care of the elderly I have a passion for what I do. Making sure they are Happy and getting the care they need and deserve. Treating them with love and respect. My 1st caregiver job was my Aunt that was very sick. I took care of her until the end of life. And then my grandparents. And it just went on from there. And I knew it was my calling. Because I loved what I did. What I like most is the wisdom and conversations of there life the things they did when they were young. It's amazing to sit down vh and just listen and give thembloge and attention. I am most proud of the many Elderly people that I have taken care of and known in the 31+ years I have been a caregiver and I wouldn't change it for anything it taught me a lot. I learned so much from every patient. And that has been my greatest reward and Achievement.

I'm very passionate and a great companion. My grandmother passed away with cancer when I was 15 years old. I helped take care of her also, I always said when I get older "I'm going to take care of the elderly " been doing it since 2006. I love it plus get to meet some interesting people and their family. I had a friend who's mother was in a nursing home with dementia and her mother wondered out of the nursing home and was almost hit by a car. Since then, I developed this great part of caring for the elderly and naturally, I'm a loving and caring person. Just being able to see my client smile all day and to lighten their day up. Makes me joyful. I was able to get a client who was a diabetic, hypertensive, wounds, etc. Who was on serveral medications for various condition. Cut back on most of the medications and the doctors where amaz. Just pleases my heart. Most of all my dependebility.
