I Love Helping And Caring For Other People. Giving Help Where Help Is Needed is My Passion. I've Been A Caregiver For Over 10 Years And It's Okay To Have The Experience But When You Have The Passion To Help Is A Whole Another Scale.

The main reason I became a CNA to help my grandmother. Being raised by my grandmother, I want to do anything I could to help her as she has done for me until her passing. Since her death in 1977, I use my skills and experience helping other seniors. What I enjoy most about caring for seniors is knowing I have made a different in their lives. When I provide care to my clients, I'm providing care to myself, a very good friend, my grandmother, my mother, my grand father, because my clients are a part of my family. My greatest achievement in caring for my clients is when I can give them something that the doctor or medication cannot give and that's a sense that life doesn't have to be over. For example I have bought home clients from the hospital who was given two weeks to live, after caring for them they out live the two weeks by months and one lived almost a year longer than what the doctor had given. She was able to travel twice to her home state (from California to Ohio), driving herself to church, going out to lunch and dinner with friends. Those were the things she enjoyed doing before she became ill. Something about me, I received my C N A in high school (1976), I have three children two boys and one girl (decease). I also attended two colleges Long Beach City College in Long Beach, CA and Columbia MO online course. My major is Human Services. I'm currently working for a Home Care Agency who only take care of veterans.

I believe in Holistic Healing & Compassionate Care. I enjoy being a caregiver because it allows me to make a positive impact on someone's life, provide support, and show empathy. It provides a sense of fulfillment and purpose when I help those in need. I find great satisfaction in making a difference in others' lives. I'm compassionate, patient, empathic, adaptable, great communicator, dependable, respectful, great problem solver, attentive and a firm believer in self care. I am immensely proud of having had the privilege to provide hospice care for my mother during her battle with cancer. Also I take great pride in having been the caregiver for my uncle during his battle with stage 5 kidney failure. It was a deeply challenging and emotional journey, but being there to offer comfort, support, and love during their final moments brought a profound sense of fulfillment. It's an experience that will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I'm grateful to have been there for them in their time of need. My farther has high blood pressure & COPD, I am grateful to be a shining light during those critical moments, providing comfort, peace and a piece of mind to his daily life. I bring the same level of care to all my clients.

My father had a liver and kidney disease while my grandmother had dementia and CPOD. Taking care of both my father and grandmother was a blessing. I enjoy been able to make someone happy, feel loved and that they are cared for when they need it the most. My name is Onye but everyone calls me Red because nobody can usually pronounce it. I love helping people in need and mainly love caregiving because I'm able to help people who really need assistance and hopefully make them feel better and feel that they are not alone and that they mean something and people care about their wellbeing. I have a great amount of experience in being a caregiver I actually started very young. At the age of 8 I started being my mom's assistant caring for people and my first patient was my grandmother I cared for her for many years as she became more sick my responsibility grew I was responsible for bathing, cleaning, laundry, hygiene and more but the part I loved the most was the good talks that we had I was able to make her feel alright and happy and not alone until the day she passed. I would love to continue to do those things for people around the world if I am given the opportunity it makes me so happy and makes me feel like a good person. I am ambitious, patient, compassionate, dependable and attentive. My grandmother has been bedridden since I was a kid. At the age of 18 I took on the responsibility to take care of her as an aide. I fell in love with this line of work from there. I love being the person to make my clients day or make them smile. My personal achievement is being the first in my family to attend college.
