I am immensely proud of having had the privilege to provide hospice care for my mother during her battle with cancer. Also I take great pride in having been the caregiver for my uncle during his battle with stage 5 kidney failure. It was a deeply challenging and emotional journey, but being there to offer comfort, support, and love during their final moments brought a profound sense of fulfillment. It's an experience that will forever hold a special place in my heart, and I'm grateful to have been there for them in their time of need. My farther has high blood pressure & COPD, I am grateful to be a shining light during those critical moments, providing comfort, peace and a piece of mind to his daily life. I bring the same level of care to all my clients.

I'm very observant, a people's person who doesn't meet a stranger , strive to give my best to my residents . Caregiving has always been my call on earth .I have done caregiving on and off for 10 years. I love the feeling to know the elderly is taking care of, being helpful to them when they are unable.

I am a loving, caring, passionate, reliable and hard-working caregiver who loves to take care of the elderly. I became a caregiver after my mother became ill and needed assistance. Caring for my mother at her most vulnerable time, sparked my interest and as a result, I was passionate to care for others who needs assistance. He has graduated high school and lives independently with little assistance. I am most proud of this achievement.

Ever since my mother was diagnosed in 2016 with kidney cancer, I've taken a newfound appreciation for home health care. I helped my father and younger sister care for our mother in her last years. My family has instilled a kindness in me that I carry with me every single day, as it's part of who I am, of who they raised me to be. My parents taught me about how to reflect the love I've been given in my life back out into the world, and there's not a day that goes by that I don't think about how I can make a difference. I've learned a lot in my life about patience, about knowing to remain joyful in every day, as we are never promised tomorrow. I've been a caregiver for my father in the last few years as well, and I'll never regret that. Being someone who will listen, who will show up and be there for the ones we love, that is what is important to me. I hope I can be that pillar of support for others in my life, and I'm inspired by my parents kindness to do so. I enjoy being able to give others a chance at independence, to feel better about their situations knowing it doesn't have to be done alone. Helping my family in their time of need has been my greatest achievement, because at the end of the day the connections I carry through this life are what matter the most to me. I'm always wanting to learn, wanting to elevate my understanding of this life in how we can help each other, and my goal is to continue to bring that kindness instilled to me to every table I sit at in my life. My father and sister have lived their whole lives with diabetes, so I'm very familiar with treatments and knowing the signs for potential lows or highs in blood sugar levels. I believe in respecting people who need support and allow myself to be available however I can in their day to day life. I keep myself in good shape and have no problems with assisting in any heavy lifting a client may need.

My name is Patricia Smith. My husband and I bought a half acre with a home on it. I live close to south mountain state park area. We bought this property to be closer to our family who live in Asheville, N.C. I really love caring for people. I have been doing this for 38 years now. I will help with whatever the family needs.
