My name's Mariah. Being a caregiver is something I've done seems all my life. I grew up on a hobby farm and had many animals. I was there caregiver. They thought me responsibility, respect, patience, kindness, and much more. I chose this career path because of my father. He was very I'll in my teen years. I learned about heart disease and skin cancer. He's now in heaven cheering me on. I also took care of my aunt who had kidney disease and spina bifida. My family has taught me a lot about living life to the fullest. That's why I enjoy being a caregiver because everyone should live life to the fullest each and every day. My goals are to make everyone smile and forget there problems, even when you don't feel well a laugh is always a step forward. When I leave my shift at the end of the day, I want my clients to know there cared for, respected, and most of all safe. My clients are MY BOSS. I'm willing to go above and beyond. When family's get tired I'm here, I'm there back bone. I'm always willing to help give advice or be a listening ear. Please remember it's harder for the person then you! Always keep a smile!

What makes me a good home care aide is my dedication to what I do. I give my best to serve / help my client in any way I can. I became a home care aide because I want to work with and help seniors. I believe that taking care of them is like taking care of my own mother. Aside from having the chance to serve / help seniors, what I like about being a home care aide is its flexible work schedule. Being able to empathize allows me to put myself in the patient's shoes, and identify and ease the patient's fears or discomfort. Patience and flexibility. There'll be many hurdles along the way-the patient is being stubborn and uncooperative, the schedule doesn't go as planned, or difficult situations arise. I will find a way to deal with this in a positive way. Having a good sense of humor. Is a good indicator that I would be able to tolerate and deal with difficult situations, which is essential because caregiving involves conditions that more people would find hard or challenging.

I have been a caregiver for mental disable clients for 10 years and also taking care of hospice clients as well. Doing ADL and also provide transportation 3 meals a day and medication 3 times a day. Light housekeeping

My mom use to be a CNA doing in house work and I loved watching her do what she did & I got inspired and I been doing this for 4 years now and I love it more every year .

I believe I have the personality traits needed to be a good caregiver. I am the second oldest of six kids and from a very young age I naturally assumed the responsibility of being "Mom #2". My parents instilled a very strong work ethic and moral principals that have contributed greatly throughout my years of experience in various fields. In 2014, I was privileged with the opportunity of caring for my grandmother in her final years. I provided help with caring for her daily basic needs, as well as administering medication, running errands, providing transportation and accompanying her to various appointments, cleaning house and daily meal preparation. My greatest accomplishment thus far, has been becoming a mother of three beautiful children. It is a role that I am very proud of and I'm confident it will continue to provide me with ongoing experience (especially in the are of multi-tasking)!
