Hello, I am Becca. I am married and 4 beautiful kids. I am a hard worker and very compassionate about my job. I am a great caregiver because I love taking care of people. It probably all started when I was about 13 years old and I took care of my great great aunt. I used to help my grandma ( which was a nurse) take care of my aunt. My grandma thought that I needed to take care of people when I was older since she told me that I was so good at it. So that's exactly what I have been doing. The most thing I like about being a caregiver is that the people I take of. I love hearing their stories and hearing about their life; it's so fascinating. My personal achievement is that I get along with the tougher clients ; when everyone else seems to think they are mean or hard to do; it seems like I can do it I love the challenge you could say.

I am a hard working, and compassionate about helping others. I am reliable and dependable and provide high-quality care. I have worked in the healthcare field for over 20 years. I am the oldest of 9 children, so being a caregiver has been my life. My goals is to provide care to my client in their own home, to prevent risk of falls, medication errors, loneliness, and isolation, with some outside help and assistance to live a safe and independent life in their own home.

I've been working for the last 13 years as a C.N.A./caregiver. My experience includes a hospital setting with maximum of 12 to 14 patients, assisted living with one patient, and in a residential facility. My duties are: Assisting with patient care recording, vital signs, high/weight, input/output, collect and test specimens, report and record patients condition and treatment, assist with feeding and G-tube, assist with their mobility, turn and repositioning, range of motion exercises, transferring patients to and from wheelchair, assist with ambulation, wound care, dressing and grooming, bath, help them with daily activities, more than a job being around elderly people and help them, make me feel great.

I have over 6yrs experience I'm also a certified Cna there's nothing more I love doing than helping seniors live The best quality of life. I was raised by my grandparents started my learning experience helping caring for them 1st I love Homecare because I get one on one time with my clients that way I'm never in a rush and can always give them the absolute best care I love my job and promise you'll make the right choice choosing me as your caregiver.

Why did you become a Caregiver? I became a caregiver to help and give back to the elderly the way I saw my grandparents work so hard to raise and keep me happy. What do you like about being a Caregiver? I love being able to help my clients still live an enjoyable happy life to the best extent they can. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? I'm very proud that I now can help take care my grandparents and show them what a great young woman they have raised me to be. Tell us something about yourself. I've always had a passion for helping others and wanted to pursue a career where I could. I worked in veterinary emergency care for 2 years and decided to see what other career paths I could take. Recently I decided to go to school to obtain my cna certification but have let the time needed lapse to stay active due to my most recent pregnancy complications. Through school I was able to get some experience during our clinical hours at the facility. I enjoyed my time there and loved having the chance to be there, feel needed and was able to make things easier for the residents-even if all I did that day was enjoy a small conversation with an individual. I am always pursing options to better myself and my future for my family. My sons are easily my greatest accomplishments and teach me how to love unconditionally, have patience and to stop and enjoy the simple moments in our day.

Because I treat every person as if they were a family member. I love my job! I am willing to travel with in 20 miles of my home address. I love taking care of people. The best compliment I heard recently was "Thank you for taking good care of my sister!" this came from a fellow co-worker and it felt good to hear.

After caring for my grandfather with Alzheimer's and assisting him to dialysis for kidney failure , I developed a intense passion to help others. I cared for my grandmother post spinal surgery and truly felt fulfilled in this career. I have a bachelors degree in human nutrition, I practice yoga daily, and I am CNA in the state of Illinois.
