Four years ago I retired from nursing. Recently, I moved to Phoenix Arizona to be near family. I have one married daughter in Phoenix where I presently reside, and another married daughter in Peoria. My daughter and son-in-law in Peoria have one daughter and are currently expecting their second child. Prior to moving here, my most recent pertinent work experience was as a homecare non-medical provider to an senior woman in her Kansas home. Though hired as "non-medical care provider" much of my assistance with this woman did revolve around her medical needs as she was an end-stage cancer patient, as well as diabetic. I helped manage her medication schedule, transportation and ensuring she went to medical/doctor appointments. I also monitored her daily health needs such as blood pressure, blood sugars, etc. I would like to care for you or a loved one in your home, and assist you with some of your care needs. I am willing to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparations, exercise/physical therapy programs, transportation and occasional errands or grocery shopping. Hello. My name is Dahny. My husband and I are parents to three boys; age 8, 10, and 12. They are great kids. Helping others have always been second nature to me. Before I had my boys, I was a foster mom to a new born baby boy. I picked him up from the hospital when he was 3 days old. I took care of him for about three months before he was adopted by a family who had adopted his brother. It was difficult letting him go but I knew he would be okay growing up with a biological brother. Shortly after my darling foster child left, I found my husband and we started our family almost right away. I spent 10 years taking care of my family. With my boys in school full time, I went back to helping others as a caregiver and I love it. I take care of everyone under my watch like my own family. I treat everyone with respect, understanding, and with kindness. I am grateful and proud that I have only had positive feedback from past clients.

I like helping people . One day I am going to get old and I hope someone takes care of me as well as I have taken care of people in the pass. I am a firm believer that if you are good to people ,people will be good to you. I am very good at what I do and like doing this type of work. I have been doing this kind of work for over 25 years. I am 57 years old and also certified. I am very dependable. Also very flexible, I am not married and don't have kids. I am also willing to go out of town if it is a good fit for me. Also have my own car so transportation will not be a problem. All I ask for is a chance I know you will like me and my work.

Caregiving is something that I should've started to do a long time ago. I believe being a caregiver is a natural talent for me. I love spending time with people of all ages. I really enjoy looking after my sister's children and I also find great joy in spending time with my grandparents. Making them happy and comfortable is rewarding. I like being the person that can help with daily activities, it is a fulfilling position. I'm thankful that I'm capable and compassionate about caregiving, I think it's a blessing to be a blessing.

A personal achievement I am most proud of is my volunteer work at Scottish Rite Children's Hospital where I was assigned to the Oncology Unit and working just to make the children on that unit love, play, or do artwork taught me how precious life is and how even the smallest kindness matters more than we know.
