Hello! N. Phoenix 5pm to 10pm only. I've been working in many aspects of healthcare since 1991. I Started out working with Young Adults with TBI and SCI injuries. I've run Alzheimer's Homes in the valley. From there I went into Hospital work as a CNA on Ortho, Med Surg, Tele, Oncology, Mental/Behavioral Health, Drug Addiction. Looking for more excitement I transferred into The Operating Room and worked as an Operating Room Assistant and later an Anesthesia Tech. Excitement got a little overwhelming so I learned to read Telemetry and was in charge of 60 plus people in the hospital on different floors. After 7 years there I left and started at Craig Hospital one of the Best rehab facilities in the country maybe the world. I was there for 13 years working with Major Brain injuries and Spinal cord injuries. In this time I became VERY proficient at working SCI & TBI. I'm a very good teacher which was part of my job educating family members so they could bring their loved ones home. I also have a VERY good understanding of TBI patients and spent Eight years working One On One with these individuals Relearning EVERY aspect of their lives again. Again, Educating family was a huge part of this job. I have tremendous experience and Impeccable references! In Twenty plus years in healthcare I've NEVER had a complaint against my license or inadvertently hurt ANY of my patients. Safety has always been my number ONE concern. I've received many awards for excellence in my years and go the extra mile to make sure my job was completed and my patients are comfortable and relaxed. After all we're here for them! I have a great personality and I'm VERY trust worthy. Im a man of my word. I work equally well with Men and Woman. My hearts in the right place. I'd love the opportunity to help you and your family member through difficult times. If you have any questions, Please feel free to inquire Thank You for stopping by! Have a Blessed day! Caregiving is a second career for me and one I have returned to after my 18 year career with Home Depot as an assistant manager. My license and certifications are listed below and I have been actively caregiving again since January 2016. Being a great caregiver has been very rewarding for me and is one of the most important things I do. My first job as a caregiver was many years ago when I was still in highschool and college. I can still remember with fondness the names and stories of many I cared for. I remember because I truly enjoyed getting to know them and they all touched my heart in so many special ways. I am compassionate and empathetic by nature. I have a special interest in memory care and feel providing a secure and loving environment where clients can feel safe, loved and have the ability to thrive and remain as active as possible is of the most importance. I have experience with dementia/Alzheimer's, chronic illness, medication assistance, medication detox, gait disturbances, recovery from surgery and rebuilding strength and abilities afterward. I strive to understand the specific needs of each client and support them emotionally and physically to achieve their full potential. I am reliable, patient and conscientious. I like to cook and prepare healthy "tasty" meals and I like to care for pets too! I have been around animals my entire life and truly enjoy helping clients care for their pets. I feel it is important for us all to stay connected to friends and family and stay as physically active as possible doing the activities we enjoy. I try to incorporate some type of daily exercise for each client whether it be walking outside when weather permits, the gym or simple stretching and strengthening for those who are disabled.Licensed Nursing Assistant and Certified Assisted Living Caregiver.
