I've been in the caregiving field for 17 years. I started out volunteering in a nursing home and then went from that to live in Care. I have worked extensively in in-home care and at small group homes and big facilities as well. I've worked with a wide variety of clients and conditions. I have a passion for helping people and want to be there for those that don't have anybody else. I'm able to genuinely care but separate myself at the same time, which has made me very good at my job. I care about the quality of care that our patients receive and always do my best to improve their lives to the best of my ability when I work with people.

I have been in the medical care field for over 11 years. I enjoy caring for seniors in their homes. I recently cared for an elderly lady in her 90's. Since she needed 24/7 care, her daughter hired me to be her full-time caregiver. I became her MPOA ( Medical Power of Attorney) It was my duty to recruit and hire other caregivers for full time care, to assist me with the hours she required. I enjoyed every minute of being there for her. I feel that every senior should be treated with respect and honor, they rely on us as caregivers to be on time and on task. I am honest and trustworthy. I can't think of anything that I love to do more than spending time with, and caring for, someone's loved one...when they aren't able to be there.

I started out as a CNA (Certified Nurse Aide) in 1987 and have worked in Assisted Living, Retirement, Nursing Homes and Private Homes, so, yes, I have a LOT of experience, training and education in this wonderful field of caring. But the reason that I am a GREAT Caregiver is because... I truly Love to be of help to others.. I LOVE to CARE. I used to pray to God..."Give me the tough ones, please God, give me the hard ones." Why did I ask God that favor? Because I know that I have the heart and the stamina...the responsibility...the respect...the love to do this labor of love. I have seen many caregivers in the long time I have doing this work. Some just needed a job. Luckily there are a few good ones like me who's hearts are into it. People who are in need of anything from a companion to serious nursing/hospice care... tread in waters not familiar to most of us. I have been there... I have been there many times, the needs are many and often times extremely demanding. Feeding, reading, washing, cooking, cleaning, driving......knowing when to speak and what to say..... knowing when to quietly listen. This is what I believe I was put here on earth to do. I have worked as a caregiver for over 10 years now. As a caregiver, I always felt a strong connection with and empathy for my patients since I also have aging parents and an 83 year old aunt who is like a mom to me and who has kidney failure due to her diabetes. Taking care of the elderly helps to remind me of how fragile life can be and how much one should treasure each day as a gift and live it to the fullest. As a former classroom teacher and a mother of four, taking care of others has become second nature to me and taking care of the most vulnerable such as the elderly takes on a higher purpose when I think of their families who are unable to take care of their loved ones personally and who desire to still do so through carefully chosen caregivers. I am especially proud of my daughter who is now a medical doctor and who became such while I was supporting her through medical school with my caregiving jobs when there were no other jobs that were readily available. Friends and family find me a very smart and caring person, warm and personable and easy to get along with, reliable and trustworthy and very devoted to my family.
