I've been in the caregiving field for 17 years. I started out volunteering in a nursing home and then went from that to live in Care. I have worked extensively in in-home care and at small group homes and big facilities as well. I've worked with a wide variety of clients and conditions. I have a passion for helping people and want to be there for those that don't have anybody else. I'm able to genuinely care but separate myself at the same time, which has made me very good at my job. I have been in the medical care field for over 11 years. I enjoy caring for seniors in their homes. I recently cared for an elderly lady in her 90's. Since she needed 24/7 care, her daughter hired me to be her full-time caregiver. I became her MPOA ( Medical Power of Attorney) It was my duty to recruit and hire other caregivers for full time care, to assist me with the hours she required. I enjoyed every minute of being there for her. I feel that every senior should be treated with respect and honor, they rely on us as caregivers to be on time and on task. I am honest and trustworthy. I can't think of anything that I love to do more than spending time with, and caring for, someone's loved one...when they aren't able to be there.

I am a very compassionate and empathetic person, I can understand or relate to almost any situation. I love to help others and see them able to do the things they love. I have been a CNA for 8 years. I had a high risk pregnancy and had to be on bed rest. Decided to try something different when I went back to work. I was then hired on at People First and became an in home caregiver for individuals with special needs. I became certified to work with members of DDD. I have Article 9, DCW training as well. I then was promoted to the Admin. position of HCBS Coordinator and am now supervisor of all of our caregiver's. My biggest personal achievement is my kids. I have an 11 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. They are my miracle babies and my whole world.
