I began my caregiving career as a skilled CNA in a nursing home at the Care Center in Oakdale. Once I perfected my skills and with the proper work-methods, I resumed my work ethics at Oak Valley Hospital in the Rehabilitation Center; and was promoted by The Director of Nursing to a RNA position ( Restorative Nursing Assistant) working directly with professionals such as PT, PTA, Speech Specialists, RNs and Doctors. It was my absolute pleasure to see my patients regain their health and return home to loved ones. With my acquired experience and knowledge, great compassion and kindness, I became an independent caregiver and have worked as a private caregiver for over 15 yrs. I love what I do. I have met many wonderful clients and family loved ones; and graciously, I have received many letters of recognition. Through my caregiving process, I have worked diligently along side Hospice, applying my nursing skills to bring comfort to dying patients. My goal is to bring a quality of life to my clients with much joy and with a compassion filled with gentle kindness. I have been a Registered Nurse since the age of 21 years old and have 35 years of Home Health nursing experience . I have experience in trachs, ventilators, gastrostomy tubes, cancer patient, quadriplegics and overall basic care. Im CPR certified and vaccinated for covid-19. I'm a great caregiver because I love my job and helping people. I was attracted to being a caretaker after taking care of my mother for ten years who had cancer. My favorite part of my job is being a companion. I have often felt like a family member to my clients. A personal achievement that I am always proud of is when my client improves because of my positive attitude and the exercises we do or day trips. I also make an excellent cup of tea.
