Hello my name is Meleviola F am 35 years old. I had been in this field for 15 years. I have so much experience in both working in a facility and in home care. I'm reliable responsible honest hardworking cheerful and easy to be around. I love what I do I enjoy helping others.

I became a caregiver because I have a passion with providing care to those individuals who need assistant with staying in the comfort of their home safely. I enjoy being apart of a team who promote clients to reach their highest level of independence. After, discovering I really enjoyed the kind of work that I do I went back to school and pursued my CNA/HHA and Acute Care license. I have five years of experience as a PCA, My first encounter was taking care of a stroke client. I'm independent, empathetic, trustworthy, reliable and really committed with the job I've been called to do. I'm currently a Geriatric Aide and working for the Center for Elder's Independence as well.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. Also I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. I just finished my Certified Nursing Assistant class to get forward to health care field.

What attracted me to this work are those family members and loved one's whom I love dearly, faced with their own mental, emotional, physical and psychological challenges. Being able to lend my support to them in one way or another I found to be very fulfilling. I have always found a pleasant sense of joy in the ability of giving back to others who are in need of my services.. There are many hurdles one must strive to overcome in this game of life no one is exempt. I can honestly say that I have learned many lessons, and in the process received just as many blessings. From a place of love and kindness I can give to others.. That's what care giving is suppose to do, give love to life...

I am a responsible, reliable and compassionate caregiver with years of experience in geriatric care within private homes and assisted living communities. I am recognized for my ability to provide emotional and physical support to clients. I have exceptional communication abilities as well as cultural sensitivity to deal with a diverse range of people. The reward of being a caregiver is priceless and my passion of caring for others comes from experience. One of my fondest memories is being in the kitchen with my Aunt, we love to cook together. It was everything I looked forward to after a long day at school or work. Then her symptoms of arthritis worsened and she was no longer able to do what she loved on her own. Helping my Aunt and others like her that are going through their process is the reason I am a caregiver today. It allows me to care for others in the same way I would want my family members to be treated.

I am from small island of Srilanka ,and back home I was a primary teacher and subject teacher in high school student for 8 years.Looking for kids have teaching experience for six years help for me to take care elderly kids. Year 2008 June I came to U S A as a Permanent residence. From 2009 I got the first client Mrs Sydrion Lofton .She was spinal stenosis client. For four and a half years she got lot of improvements while I took care her. But unfortunately When she had a surgery I lost my loving client. She treats me like her own daughter. She is a good friend to me. I lost first job,friend mother, teacher, well wisher. Honestly I like teaching job . and It take long time to cover the units. But when I stat the caregiving job , It's gives me more happy. and I need to help my daughter s college expenses also. So I choose caring Elderly people.
