Care giving is something i choose to do out of passion, and dream I love helping older people, just like i love taking care of children too. because I always pray to live longer and old ,so I started by trying to help volunteering weekly because am in to filmmaking,singing and dancing which Is also one of my passion ,but The job comes once a while before i decided to make it a full time job due to my experience with older people, and people with special needs .So what made me a better caregiver is because I care for my clients like they are my own parents and family in a special way.My believe as a caregiver is you need first to love people as you love yourself,then put yourself in their shoes and feel their pains then you will know how it feels that they need more time and care ..

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. Also I like older adults and feel you can get along well with a variety of elders. I just finished my Certified Nursing Assistant class to get forward to health care field.

I like my job because I can make a difference in someones life and can assist them in their daily needs. Aloha, my name is Jonalinn and I have over 20 years of caregiving experience. I have had CNA and Home Health Aide training. I am compassionate, caring and calm. Helping people is part of my nature, so working in this profession has been rewarding for me. I have worked with patients of different backgrounds and developed great relationships with them. I have 20+ years of experience in the healthcare industry specifically in the role of caregiver. I've always had a love of taking care of people. My earliest memories Consisted of playing hospital with my Barbie dolls and pretending to take care of them as if I were in a real hospital setting! I would bathe them, dress them, administer injections etc. That love stayed with me throughout my childhood to present day. Although I've gone to school and acquired all of the proper credentials needed to work in hospitals etc., I missed that special feeling you get via the relationships and bonds that developed when giving one on one care to a client which I felt was lacking in the hospital setting. I am at my happiest when I am able to bring a smile to my clients face through the services that I provide for them personally and I really enjoy providing companionship as well. When my dad fell ill, I gave up everything to focus on taking care of him personally. In addition to the clinical portion of caring for him we watched TV together, shared deep conversations and stories of his childhood and mine, I prepared his favorite meals etc. And when it was my dad's time, I walked away from it with life long memories that I have passed along to my children who I hope will pass it on to their children and so on!

I can say I am a good caregiver because I love what I do. I want helping other individual and giving the best care I can share them. My profession and being a caregiver molded me to be a strong person and love the work I do even in times of heavy and strenuous workload. As I mention earlier I like to be a caregiver because I touch lives of people, especially the elders 100 percent I can make them feel that even in their last stage of life there are still people who can let them feel that they are important. Then I change work with residential care home , work includes direct care. Type of patent DD, elderly ambulatory and non ambulatory. I went school with Direct Support Professional year 1 and 2..Then work with agency with One on one client. I have handled all kind of cases simple and complex. I have over ten years of experience in caregiving, I'm also a registered RBT I hold my CPR and first aide license. I'm also fully vaccinated and I have a lot of skills in the medical field.

I am a good listener, I also like to engage in conversation, I am very punctual. I like to hear peoples stories and look at family photos (past, present and future). I am patient and have a kind and loving heart. I like to advocate on behalf of my client when I see a need too; allowing space and time to build a healthy relationship and a bond of trustworthiness.. What attracted me to this work are those family members and loved one's whom I love dearly, faced with their own mental, emotional, physical and psychological challenges. Being able to lend my support to them in one way or another I found to be very fulfilling.
