I became a certified nursing assistant in May of 2000. I have worked in many specialties in the healthcare field which consists of med-surg, telemetry,Icu,Brain and Injury, Rehab and Pacu. I also worked in Hospice, and home health for 15 years. I am currently working towards Nursing degree.

The reason I become a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of the elderly, sick, and handicapped. I have 30 years of experience in providing personal in-home care for disabled, cognitively impaired, chronically ill, and hospice patients. I assist patients with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. I monitor patients' vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. I am a thoughtful and considerate person who takes pride in providing the best care possible. I became a caregiver through the influence of my great aunt and grandmother as they were the neighborhood caregivers. I watched them as a child and knew I wanted to do the same thing. I began by taking care of my grandmother when she became home bound in her older age. For the past three years, I was the care taker for my mother after she suffered a stroke. I've always been the compassionate person caring for other even when I was teenager. Come up watching my mother and grandmother as nurses and childcare provider it became natural to me. So when started high school I enroll in Nurseing program pass with excellent grades during I class hours we went to nursing home for hand on experience I then new this was what I liked doing. During summer break of school I work at local nursing home facility also had to attend monthly educational inservices were I learn the RESIDENTS RIGHTS,HIPPA, BIOHAZARD POLICY and INFECTION CONTROL .
