I am a happy person with a great spirit, very patient. I was excited to become a caregiver after helping a family member suffering with liver disease from beginning to post transplant.

I became a certified nursing assistant in May of 2000. I have worked in many specialties in the healthcare field which consists of med-surg, telemetry,Icu,Brain and Injury, Rehab and Pacu. I also worked in Hospice, and home health for 15 years. I am currently working towards Nursing degree.

I enjoy working as a care provider to help others achieve their daily tasks. Families look forward to having an extra set of helping hands to care for their loved ones and this is where I fit in. I'm organized and detailed. I can accomplish tasks quickly and in a reasonable time frame. My goal is to assist in any way possible in the care taking process. I have 30 years of experience in providing personal in-home care for disabled, cognitively impaired, chronically ill, and hospice patients. I assist patients with daily personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. I monitor patients' vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration. I am a thoughtful and considerate person who takes pride in providing the best care possible. I became a caregiver through the influence of my great aunt and grandmother as they were the neighborhood caregivers. I watched them as a child and knew I wanted to do the same thing. I began by taking care of my grandmother when she became home bound in her older age. For the past three years, I was the care taker for my mother after she suffered a stroke. The thing I enjoy the most is feeling a sense of joy and humility in assisting those in need in conducting their activities of daily living. They are so appreciative. I consider it a personal achievement when they recover and there is no further need of my services. That confirms that my work with them has improved their quality of life.

Empathy and compassion are my core values. I always want to help, and I'm very patience especially when providing care. I enjoy doing work that has the potential to make a difference in someone's life. I'm proud to have inspired hope in many whom I have assisted.
