I am punctual, very compassionate about what I do for people who have lost some independence from a life event. Compassion for the family involved to help lessen the burden. I like to tell stories that help the family get to know who I am and I love to hear stories from them as well. I like seeing results so with that being said, I had achieved my series 6 & 63 license (which was a challenge for me) and was proud to present products that would get higher interest with low risk. After high school, I attended Maric college of medical careers. (medical assisting course.) After graduating, I worked in family practice as a back medical assistant. I continued my Education by taking an EMT course at Mesa College. From there I worked as an respiratory tech for a home oxygen therapy company. After starting a family, I worked as program manager for a senior congregant lunch program. I relocated from Ocean Beach to Oceanside and have been working as an independent contractor on several different cases. I love the work I do and I'm good at it. I'm reliable, dependable, trustworthy, outgoing and friendly. I have reliable transportation with a good driving record and can easily pass a background check. I don't drink smoke or do drugs... I am a very loyal caregiver. I started my career taking care of my elderly mother until her last breath. Though I put my life on hold to care for my mother, it was a time I consider to be a blessing. It began my love for care giving. The most recent Home Care Provider was for a client-friend I served for over 7 years. I cared for him up until his very last breath. In the 7 years I worked for him I never called in sick. I feel my expertise is adapting to the clients needs not just in the physical, but emotionally, and by way of companionship. Hi, I first became a caregiver because I wanted to know what it was like helping someone in need. After my first client I realized how much I love being a caregiver. I enjoy everything about my job. I have done case management in a residential home which included scheduling appointments, ordering medications and/or medical equipment, Interview and training new caregivers and weekly meal planning. I have worked with patients with COPD, hoyer lift,MS,Dementia and Alzheimer's and skin cancer treatments. I have also experience in hospice care. The bond that I create with my clients is a wonderfull experience. I like to bake and try new recepies. On my spare time I like to go shopping, do arts and crafts, read non fiction books and watch movies. Oh and I recently started painting.! I think everyone has something unique about themselves and what ever their talent is or was I like to get inspired by it and try new things.
