After high school, I attended Maric college of medical careers. (medical assisting course.) After graduating, I worked in family practice as a back medical assistant. I continued my Education by taking an EMT course at Mesa College. From there I worked as an respiratory tech for a home oxygen therapy company. After starting a family, I worked as program manager for a senior congregant lunch program. I relocated from Ocean Beach to Oceanside and have been working as an independent contractor on several different cases. I love the work I do and I'm good at it. I'm reliable, dependable, trustworthy, outgoing and friendly. I have reliable transportation with a good driving record and can easily pass a background check. I don't drink smoke or do drugs... I am punctual, very compassionate about what I do for people who have lost some independence from a life event. Compassion for the family involved to help lessen the burden. I like to tell stories that help the family get to know who I am and I love to hear stories from them as well. I tune in with their personalities and preferences, and adjust our activities according to what they enjoy, what empowers them and what keeps their emotional, mental and health condition as good as possible. I am flexible, and adjust easily to what my clients need. I become their best friend and feel like a family. We have fun, stay safe and healthy. Caring for an elder person is a very personal business and their quality of life and health depend on it. I saved lives, made lives better and always have my client's best in heart. My career as a senior companion happened very naturally and holistically. It didn't start as a career but as a neighbor helping neighbor and friend helping friend.
