I am a warm, caring and compassionate person and have always enjoyed helping people, it comes as Second Nature to me, and I was both my Parent's "Right Hand Girl" as they used to call me. My mom worked for the Visiting Nurses Association when I was a young girl and back then she was allowed to take me with her to some of her clients, so that's one reason why I developed an interest in this type of work.

It is an opportunity to recharge your batteries. Caring for children with special needs can also be very taxing on the family unit and they need that moment to recharge. That is why I offer respite care. I was a CNA for 3 years and have been a respite provider/caregiver for nearly 4 years and I am now in my second semester of the Nursing program at VVC. I am a Navy veteran and mom of four. I am originally from TX and moved to CA in 2012. I love people and animals. I enjoy connecting with new people and can pretty much get along with anyone. What drove me to be a caregiver is when i realized the need to serve and help others. This passion came when I lived with my grandmother who i loved dearly and as she aged i realized she needed care day by day. I automatically became a caregiver to her, a job I have come to love and perfect professionally. My reliability, patience, privacy, respect and hard work are some of my personality traits that drives me to ensure I cultivate a closer bond and be a great caregiver. seeing the satisfaction that is derived from my caregiving, gives me joy and motivates me to do my best. I've been working with elderly community since the early part of my nursing career back in 1992. I have worked in multiple nursing homes with years of LVN experiences. Patience and compassion are the traits that I can say I developed working as a nurse for older people. Respect for elderly is instilled by my parents in me since I was young.

I have been a certified Medical Assistant for over eight years. Therefor my scope is wider then a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I have many years of work experience working with Geriatric population. My certification and BLS CPR are current. I am available for evening care and weekends.
