I worked in healthcare for over ten years in a clinical setting. I have worked with adults children, all age specific groups. My best trait is my compassion for people. I love working with the elderly population. I find it very rewarding helping others.

I am a care giver at heart! I have always been the nurturer of the family. I have 17+ yrs experience with caring for the elderly. 13 of those years specializing in Alzheimer's and dementia care. I learned from my previous residents' that it's important to have a sense of humor in this field of work, which I can think I'm a comedian some days! I never knew this work was meant for me until it just fell into my lap one day and was told by many I was a natural. I find it very rewarding seeing my patient's happy, see someone relieved of their pain, or just making that special bond or friendship after earning their trust. Whether it be just for a moment in each day, to see that I made my patient's life a little bit easier for them-makes caregiving so worthwhile. Something I have achieved would be staying in this field of work for so many years. There are people that simply aren't capable of doing the "dirty work" that comes with the job title. I can admit sometimes there will be "bad days,"but will always realize that at the end of the day- the good outweighs the bad....

We had the most kind, caring, compassionate , caregiver who was extremely helpful and very important to our family. She became apart of our family. Just seeing how helpful and needed she was to our family I decoded I was Ted to help out elders from that day on a d ever since I love my job some of my most closest bestfriends I world have to say are my clients. I truly love each and everyone of my clients. They have become Such a big important part of my life that I wouldn't change my job for anything. I wake up actually excited and happy to see and spend time with my clients they have become apart of my family. That is why I became a Caregiver it truly has fulfilled my life tremendously!
