I am a compassionate and gentle woman. I have experience in several realms: assisting in care for my grandma for several years before she passed, working with high school special needs students, as well as being previously certified as a CNA, and later on EMT. I made a career change to IT, so I didn't maintain my certs, but I still have a deep passion and yearning to help and serve others. I appreciate being able to make a difference in someone's life by giving care and companionship. Whether it be simply with my presence for conversation, or for assistance with daily tasks in the home, to assistance with self care. I worked in healthcare for over ten years in a clinical setting. I have worked with adults children, all age specific groups. My best trait is my compassion for people. I love working with the elderly population. I find it very rewarding helping others.

I am a care giver at heart! I have always been the nurturer of the family. I have 17+ yrs experience with caring for the elderly. 13 of those years specializing in Alzheimer's and dementia care. I learned from my previous residents' that it's important to have a sense of humor in this field of work, which I can think I'm a comedian some days! I find it very rewarding seeing my patient's happy, see someone relieved of their pain, or just making that special bond or friendship after earning their trust. Something I have achieved would be staying in this field of work for so many years. There are people that simply aren't capable of doing the "dirty work" that comes with the job title. I can admit sometimes there will be "bad days,"but will always realize that at the end of the day- the good outweighs the bad....

My name is Gina Martinez I was born and raised in Pue lo Colrado. What got me I to the Home Care field is watching my grandmother suffer from ALZHEIMER'S. We had the most kind, caring, compassionate , caregiver who was extremely helpful and very important to our family. She became apart of our family. Just seeing how helpful and needed she was to our family I decoded I was Ted to help out elders from that day on a d ever since I love my job some of my most closest bestfriends I world have to say are my clients. I truly love each and everyone of my clients. They have become Such a big important part of my life that I wouldn't change my job for anything. I wake up actually excited and happy to see and spend time with my clients they have become apart of my family. That is why I became a Caregiver it truly has fulfilled my life tremendously!

I have always enjoyed helping others and being there for someone when no one else can. I have worked as a registered behavior technician for children with neurodiversities and worked as a caregiver for all aged individuals. What made me want to be a caregiver was the ability not only help others, but to be a companion as well. I also enjoy being able to have a flexible schedule for school and my family. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is hearing the stories my clients have to tell, building a relationship and putting a smile on their face. My personal achievement that I am proud of is being able to juggle school, work and a family. I am proud to say I will be Class of 2023!

I am dependable and honest I have the willingness to learn every day because there is always something to learn. I have family members that needed assistance with daily living skills. Ifeel that everyone somehow needs a little help, so I got into healthcare. I enjoy meeting and learning about the adventures and history of the person I care for. I find that so rewarding, I got to take care of my dad during his journey and that was a blessing for me to be able to care and spend as much time with him that is memorable, and I will cherish that time I had with him.
