I started caring for both my parents but at different times when they were diagnosed with cancer yrs ago, my dad saw how I was with mom & from that time i also cared for him, he knew it was my calling & he was comfortable in my care. Then just within the past year I was able to care for my mother in law as well. I just feel compassionate about caring for others & it's such a rewarding experience everyday to know I'm making a difference in someone's life! The most rewarding experiences I recall is when new accomplishments are made & to see their faces show such excitement. There's always something to be thankful for at the end of the day,

I'm great at being a caregiver due to the fact I ALWAYS treat my patient as if they're my mom or dad!! Have taken care of dementia, hospice, cancer, assisted w/ bathing, getting dressed, housekeeping, dr. appointments, & meal prepping. I can promise you, your family will be well taken care of!! Been in medical field for 8 years!!!

I became a caregiver because my grandmother had cancer and I wanted to learn how to take care of her, she was a survivor for 40 year, I admired how the nurses and the patient care techs took care of her. So I wanted to give back. The best thing I love about this job is seeing the transformation of ones being. It brings joy to my heart to see someone smile and laugh. I have a private duty case now and the daughter said her mother is so happy now and enjoy when I come a take care of her that is a personal achievement especially when you are taking care of someones mother. My name is Lisa Council I am 49 years old but I look every bit of 29, I am outgoing and love to have fun with my residents, they are such a joy. I have no children, but I am married. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and medical assistance, so I do spoil my residents. I pamper them male and female.I have been to college haven't received my degree yet but I am working on it. I presently work at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on the Orthopedic floor.I reside in Palmetto Ga. I am looking for that one on one care instead of 18 patients as a load, It pays well but I am not getting the satisfaction of what my purpose is for doing direct patient care. That is why I choose to do Private Duty.

I'm the type of person that's very personable I love people and I love helping others. I worked at St Vincent hospital as a patient safety assistance I kept my patients safe I assisted them with restroom duties, feeding, walking, I played games with them watched television I became their companion. I've worked with people with all types of elements even hospice, ages from infants to 104 years of age. I also work with the seniors at my church. I'm a very nurturing person. I love to make others laugh and smile, I've been called an angel by some. I have an 88 year old mother so dealing with the elderly is something that I have mastered by experience. Also I'm a CNA

I have always loved taking care of the elderly. You have to have the heart. I started out by being there for my mom until she left me. Then when I lossed her I said why not take care of others. I hope I be able to have the same done for myself if I be around that long. Honest, Dependable, Trustworthy.. I like to have fun get to know my client. Become friends and have a relationship. That is what makes me a good caregiver. Have excellent references.

I feel that I am a servant caregiver and born to always finding a way to care for someone. Being in health care for 40+ years has been a joy and rewarding. I say this because it is sometimes impossible to find someone that cares and loves their job. I have always loved going to work. I have had patients tell me all my life "you are here for me" my reply is" I wish we had met under different circumstances" but you are here for me as well. I have never had problems establishing a great rapport with patients. It's because I care about what I do and if the job get completed and the goal was satisfied.

I want to deal with geriatrics until I finish undergraduate because I have a lot of patience with older people. I need a slower pace from the hectic rehabs and nursing homes that I have worked at in the past. I'm super clean and calm. I have my own transportation and flexible hours, so hopefully you and I can compromise to give your loved one a clean and healthy home environment.

Hi my name is Monica. I have been in the healthcare profession for 13+ years in an office environment. Three years ago my father-in-law became very ill and began developing dementia, at the same time my mother-in-law had just gone through hip surgery. I began staying with them nightly and maintained my daily job. Neither of them had any desire to go into any type of nursing home with strangers tending to them. They were very hesitant as well, to have anyone coming into the home. It was during this time I developed a strong desire to help and take care of them to the best of my ability. I took care of my father-in-law while my mother-in-law recovered from surgery, and held his hand until he took his last breath. I am a natural nurturer and it gives me great joy and satisfaction to take care of someone who cannot take care of themselves alone and are often very reluctant to be cared for outside of their home. I am a very passionate and patient person, and I have a zest for life, as it is so precious and not promised. My children are grown and out on their own now and I lost my husband suddenly in 2014. My desire is to leave an unfulfilling job and begin a rewarding career that will satisfy my heart and soul. Everyone needs a little sunshine, I always have a little in my pocket to sprinkle as needed.
