I started caring for both my parents but at different times when they were diagnosed with cancer yrs ago, my dad saw how I was with mom & from the time a also cared for him he knew it was my calling & he was comfortable in my care. Then just within the past year I was able to care for my mother in law as well. I just feel compassionate about caring for others & it's such a rewarding experience everyday to know I'm making a difference in someone's life! I helped my family out a lot when it came to her health. I helped her bathe, cook, made sure she took the proper medication for the day and also refill her medicine. I cared for her from 2012-2015. Even though my experience is limited I do have the knowledge from learning over the past few years.

I became a caregiver because my grandmother had cancer and I wanted to learn how to take care of her, she was a survivor for 40 year, I admired how the nurses and the patient care techs took care of her. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and medical assistance, so I do spoil my residents. I pamper them male and female.I have been to college haven't received my degree yet but I am working on it. I presently work at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on the Orthopedic floor.I reside in Palmetto Ga. I am looking for that one on one care instead of 18 patients as a load, It pays well but I am not getting the satisfaction of what my purpose is for doing direct patient care.
