I'm great at being a caregiver due to the fact I ALWAYS treat my patient as if they're my mom or dad!! Have taken care of dementia, hospice, cancer, assisted w/ bathing, getting dressed, housekeeping, dr. appointments, & meal prepping. I can promise you, your family will be well taken care of!! I'm the type of person that's very personable I love people and I love helping others. I worked at St Vincent hospital as a patient safety assistance I kept my patients safe I assisted them with restroom duties, feeding, walking, I played games with them watched television I became their companion. I've worked with people with all types of elements even hospice, ages from infants to 104 years of age. I also work with the seniors at my church. I'm a very nurturing person. I love to make others laugh and smile, I've been called an angel by some. I have an 88 year old mother so dealing with the elderly is something that I have mastered by experience. Also I'm a CNA

I became a caregiver because my grandmother had cancer and I wanted to learn how to take care of her, she was a survivor for 40 year, I admired how the nurses and the patient care techs took care of her. So I wanted to give back. The best thing I love about this job is seeing the transformation of ones being. It brings joy to my heart to see someone smile and laugh. I have a private duty case now and the daughter said her mother is so happy now and enjoy when I come a take care of her that is a personal achievement especially when you are taking care of someones mother. My name is Lisa Council I am 49 years old but I look every bit of 29, I am outgoing and love to have fun with my residents, they are such a joy. I have no children, but I am married. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and medical assistance, so I do spoil my residents. I pamper them male and female.I have been to college haven't received my degree yet but I am working on it. I presently work at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on the Orthopedic floor.I reside in Palmetto Ga. I am looking for that one on one care instead of 18 patients as a load, It pays well but I am not getting the satisfaction of what my purpose is for doing direct patient care. That is why I choose to do Private Duty.

I wanted to be a caregiver because being able to provide assistance, support, and companionship to those in need makes me feel good. The thing I love the most about being a caregiver is being apart of someone's life and being able to hopefully make a positive impact on them.

I am a loving mother to 4 children, one of which is a Leukemia survivor. I have 3 years oncology care experience, I am trained in alzheimers/dementia care, I absolutely love working with seniors and see my clients as a part of my own family. After caring for my daughter, I began caring for my husband's grandmother, which I loved! Then began working with assisted living facilities and as an in home health aide. I enjoy learning all about my clients, assisting in their daily activities, and nothing means more to me than bringing a smile to their faces.

I have always told others that I not medically inclined until almost three years ago my now 5 year old grand son almost drowned in our pool. Man had given upon him surviving. His parents were told that they would be provided with medically assisted suicide. To this day I have been thankful they did not go that route. I learned how to perform trachea change, g-tube feeding and administer medications via his G-tube, comfort him, I have talked many through and even out of major depression. I cared for my parents and grandmother who was a diabetic and those who had high blood pressure just to mention a few. I realized during these transitions that being a caregiver is such a critical player in a time of need because many family members are unable to stop their day to day lives and provide that much needed attention for their live ones. I promise to be loving and caring to your loved ones, they need the care and attention I have to offer.

I feel that I am a servant caregiver and born to always finding a way to care for someone. Being in health care for 40+ years has been a joy and rewarding. I say this because it is sometimes impossible to find someone that cares and loves their job. I have always loved going to work. I have had patients tell me all my life "you are here for me" my reply is" I wish we had met under different circumstances" but you are here for me as well. I have never had problems establishing a great rapport with patients. It's because I care about what I do and if the job get completed and the goal was satisfied.

I use to be a CNA. I love working with and being around the elderly. Some of us from our church goes to the Nursing Home once a month and have service and fellowship with the residents. I am over the Nursing Home Ministry and I enjoy it. I have a passion for helping others.

I have always loved to care for others . My first caregiver experience was caring for my family members. Overtime I started caring for others outside of my family. I enjoy helping others and bringing joy to others. What I enjoy most is the smile of clients face when I am with them preparing their meal, taking them shopping, watching movies, or just sitting back listening to them tell stories about their experiences. A personal achievement I'm proud of is obtaining my BA while working a full time split shift job.
