I am a reliable, organized, friend caregiver who loves taking care of my clients as my own keeping them safe and secure at all times. I am determined to get things done on a timely manner. I am currently in Nursing school and I am a patient care technician.

I became a caregiver because my grandmother had cancer and I wanted to learn how to take care of her, she was a survivor for 40 year, I admired how the nurses and the patient care techs took care of her. So I wanted to give back. The best thing I love about this job is seeing the transformation of ones being. It brings joy to my heart to see someone smile and laugh. I have a private duty case now and the daughter said her mother is so happy now and enjoy when I come a take care of her that is a personal achievement especially when you are taking care of someones mother. My name is Lisa Council I am 49 years old but I look every bit of 29, I am outgoing and love to have fun with my residents, they are such a joy. I have no children, but I am married. I am also a licensed cosmetologist and medical assistance, so I do spoil my residents. I pamper them male and female.I have been to college haven't received my degree yet but I am working on it. I presently work at Piedmont Newnan Hospital on the Orthopedic floor.I reside in Palmetto Ga. I am looking for that one on one care instead of 18 patients as a load, It pays well but I am not getting the satisfaction of what my purpose is for doing direct patient care. That is why I choose to do Private Duty.

I had my own daycare for 20 years. I been taking care of children since my first brother was born when I was 6. Other people's children at age 13, newborn and a 12-year-olds. I have babysat or I have been a surrogate mother to many children when they needed it. Was a Foster Mom for many years. Love people, but have a special aptitude for children, elderly and handicapped. I have always loved taking care of the elderly. You have to have the heart. I started out by being there for my mom until she left me. Then when I lossed her I said why not take care of others. I hope I be able to have the same done for myself if I be around that long. Honest, Dependable, Trustworthy.. I like to have fun get to know my client. Become friends and have a relationship. I have always told others that I not medically inclined until almost three years ago my now 5 year old grand son almost drowned in our pool. Man had given upon him surviving. His parents were told that they would be provided with medically assisted suicide. To this day I have been thankful they did not go that route. I learned how to perform trachea change, g-tube feeding and administer medications via his G-tube, comfort him, I have talked many through and even out of major depression. I cared for my parents and grandmother who was a diabetic and those who had high blood pressure just to mention a few. I realized during these transitions that being a caregiver is such a critical player in a time of need because many family members are unable to stop their day to day lives and provide that much needed attention for their live ones. I promise to be loving and caring to your loved ones, they need the care and attention I have to offer.

I have always loved to care for others . My first caregiver experience was caring for my family members. Overtime I started caring for others outside of my family. I enjoy helping others and bringing joy to others. What I enjoy most is the smile of clients face when I am with them preparing their meal, taking them shopping, watching movies, or just sitting back listening to them tell stories about their experiences. A personal achievement I'm proud of is obtaining my BA while working a full time split shift job.

Not enough people in the field that really cares they only want a paycheck, but me I care about a person wellbeing and I go the extra mile for them. 3. I have been working in the healthcare field since 2013, I have a heart for people and a passion to help others. Being able to help someone brings me joy. I was my mothers care giver for many years and she told me she believed I be a great nurse, that's one thing that has brought me to being a caregiver. I'm currently in school to become a LPN, I love being able to learn new things and get educated on different illnesses and diseases.
