My name is Angie Brown, I have experience working in skilled facilities and also assisted living. For the last few years I have been doing home health care. I love being able to help families out and hopefully make a difference, its a very rewarding feeling, I'm proud of the way i take care of my clients and treat them with respect and provide them with the best care possible, I am covid vaccinated and cpr certified.

What attracted me to be a caregiver is the need for more community outreach. To be able to help residents in my community who fall under our "underserved" population to educate and help them better understand the help that they are entitled to!!

Taking care of the elderly is my passion I like seeing my clients happy well loved and cared for, I've always been this way. I enjoy when I walk out the door they are happy smiling and have had a great experience in the time we've spent together. If I can do this then I feel my Dad is looking down smiling and proud of me, I was blessed to be able to take care of him at home when he was diagnosed with Dementia until he passed. I'm a 40 year old mother of 3 children, my oldest being in the us navy and my youngest will start kindergarten next august (24/25) I'm originally from southern California where I lived my whole life until 2018 when I moved to western North Carolina. Being my oldest child is in his 20's, I've had many many years of caregiving starting as far back as a babysitter in my preteens. I cared for my grandmother with cancer ending on hospice for about 6 years in my mid to late 20's and since being in nc I've found employment caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I took care of my mom who had uterine cancer for 3 years. After she passed my dad got sick Had to have a pacemaker and had multiple aneurysms. And then he got cancer. I also cared for my mentally and physically handicapped sister who developed non alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver. All over a span of 10 years. I've cared for one gentleman over the past year and a half and I'm hoping to pursue a nursing career in the spring
