Greetings! My name is Dana, and I reside in Louisa County, near Lake Anna. All of my previous positions have been either in customer service or helping others. In regards to caregiving, I have experience working with folks in a home setting where I have done things such as; help with toiletry, grooming, meal preparation, helping with mobility (getting in and out of bed), companionship ( I play a mean hand of Rummy), and some exercise (taking walks). I have previous work experience as a CPHT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) and I'm trained in medication management, I would have no problem with medication management. I also have work experience with neurological disorders, developmental disorders, mental illness, and ADLs- from early childhood and up.

I am an upbeat, happy CNA of 14 years. I have worked everywhere from in my clients homes to hospital to long term care facilities. I have experience with hoyer lifts, sit to stands and hands on transfers. I have worked with many people with dementia and Alzheimers and I have about a years experience working with the mentally disabled. I enjoy helping people and knowing that I am doing what I can to make others lives easier

I majored in Social Work and have had a wonderful 27 year career of working with children, adolescents and the aging. I have worked at UVA hospital where I gained insight into the importance of maintaining good health and how devastating a disease or accident is on one's health and life. I have worked for department of social services and assisted the aging with receiving the services needed to remain in their home or to move into a facility. At this time, I am doing "hands on" care in people's home to assist them with various activities of daily living. My mother was bedridden for many years and I was one of her primary caregivers. I know the burden on family when caring for a loved one and the importance of support. My grandfather lived to be 96 and I was there for him to assist with shopping, meal prep, housekeeping, medication reminders and transportation. I cherish the times that I spent with my mother and grandfather caring for them. I also cherish the support I received from others.

I have been taking care of people for 12 years. I have both cna and nursing experience. Caregiving is not just a job for me, it is my passion. I love helping people. I believe that our seniors deserve to be treated like Kings and Queens, they have worked all their lives. I'm blessed to still have 3 grandmothers, 3 grandfathers and one great grandmother alive. I cherish every moment with them. Along with my passion to be a caregiver, I am a hard worker. I don't mind going the extra mile when needed.

I'm a positive person. I always have a smile on my face. I am a greater listener and can keep a good conversation. I like to care for people. I imagine that the people i'm caring for are my own grandparents. A personal achievement I'm proud of is being the first one in my family to graduate from college.

I love to serve people, in general. I feel a special call at this time in my life to serve seniors and I would appreciate the opportunity to share my skills and services helping your family member. I have more than 10 years of experience caring for seniors, including seniors with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. My tasks include light housekeeping, meal preparation and feeding, laundry, bathing and grooming, shopping and errands, escort to appointments/outings and companionship. I am certified as a Personal Care Aide and have completed the Nurse Aide program at the American Red Cross.

I've been in nurse for 26yrs i love what I do for my seniors I worked in all types of fields work with all types of people I'm a certified CNA I love seeing there smiling faces when my job is done.

I've been a caregiver PCA for 16 years caring for the elderly in their homes helping with daily living activities. I have always loved caregiving since I was a little girl my church would have us go to nursing homes and spend some time with the residents. I enjoyed doing their hair and nails and singing with them and just spending time with them. Made me decide to be a caregiver. I enjoy helping others and being able to give them the opportunity to stay in their homes with their families while I come to them to care for them.
