I am a very compassionate and patient caregiver with 22 years of experience helping to care for individuals with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. I began providing care when a close friend of mine needed help caring for her sick mother. I worked with this sweet lady for seven and a half years in which I refined my caregiving skills. The bond that I build with all of my clients is unmistakably genuine and sweet. Over my career I have cared for 15 different people and each one of them and the experiences that we have shared has helped to enrich my ability to care for the next one. I am also a proud mother of two wonderful children and that in itself speaks volume about my ability to care for others. I truly care for my clients as if they were a part of my own family.

I have a passion for helping others. I wanted to make a difference in the life of someone who was ill. Being able to bring some happiness to those in need. Being chosen as a lead aid, to be able to train new caregivers.

I am honest, hardworking, experience, passionate, driven, dependable, highly organized and constantly set goals for myself. I am able to handle multitask. What attracted me to become a caregiver, i love making a difference in a family and their love ones life. I also love making a difference in a clients daily routine to wish the family could be at ease. It's very rewarding field where getting to meet all different kind of personalities.

What makes me a great caregiver is my organization and ablity to multitask, I'm a reliable person. I enjoy people and treat people with respect. I've been a caregiver for 30+ years the reason I became a caregiver is, it's given is the ability to help other people, live the best posible life they can live. What I enjoy the most is watching people smile and heal. The thing I'm most proud of is raising my 4 children to be healthy young men.

As of October 4, 2022 I'm current with all COVID-19 vaccine shots and on Oct 4, 2022 I got the newest booster shot. I have been a IP ( Independent Provider ) Hospice/CNA nurse for 10 plus years now after obtaining my license in 2011. But been a caregiver for over twenty years now. My certification includes experience working with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Cancer, Autism, Mental Health, Nurse Delegation, Sundowner's, Stroke/Brain Bleed, Stroke with AFO brace, Cerebral Palsy, PSP ( Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) and Diabetes. I am CPR certified. I have my own transportation, non smoker, and have a clean driving record. I love working with people, but my passion is to work with senior citizens. I enjoy reading, cooking, scrapbooking, listening to music, love doing puzzles and playing with my three small dogs. I am handy in both house and yard work. The part I love most about what I do is the smiles and enjoyment that I can see on my clients faces from the care and help I give them. My most recent work has consisted of taking care of a ninety-six year old sweet lady with Dementia/cancer. I am patient and detail oriented, and attentive to patient care. I wanted to become a caregiver once I realized, how many people in the world are in need of care. I also realized how many people are being neglected when it comes to patient care, so initially I wanted to provide the proper care to people in need. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is providing and satisfying patient care needs, and creating a bond with my patients. I am proud that through being a caregiver I was able to also go to school, and receive a diploma in Medical Assisting. It has pushed me to want to further my education in medicine.

Although my bachelor's degree from the University of Arizona is in Nursing/Biology, I pursued other career opportunities for much of my professional life. I returned to hands-on care 12 years ago because of the deep satisfaction I feel when I help a family honor their loved one's decision to remain at home, living as independently as possible. I am highly organized and I excel at coordinating all aspects of care, which enables family members to attend to their careers and commitments. I have experience as a Care Manager, hiring, training, and managing a caregiving team for a family that needed 24 hour care for their father. Since I was a very young girl when asked what I want to do I've always been able to respond in the same way: I want to help people. I've always been driven to grow and improve. This desire also extends out to the people around me. As a caregiver, I go out of my way to ensure my client's needs are met before that of my own.
