Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Caregivers in Big Bear City - 16 caregivers found

I started as a temporary caregiver before I went to LVN school. I was hired for companionship. When I started working, I never thought that even just for companionship, I can make a difference. My client lives alone. Every time I'm with my client, I felt happy because I was part of my client life. My client started smiling and showed happiness. In a short time I was with my client, we created a bond to each other. We go to the gym together and even to grocery store. I had a great experienced with my first caregiving job. After I graduated from my LVN school, I work with a physician who is a medical director to both home health and hospice. I went to see patients with him to client's home and I was blessed to be part of his ministry. Even though I was not part of any of his patients everyday life, I was blessed enough be there for them in a little time. Even for just a day, I got to know a lot of things about my clients.

What makes me a great LVN as I keep my patients first and I step into the shoes in order to best assist them. I love being a LVN because I first wanted to be a doctor realize maybe I didn't want to go to school for that length of time so I just try nursing and I've loved it ever cents. I really enjoy seeing my patients happy and relieve the pain.

I am goal orientated, I have compassion but am strong and decisive. I believe kindness is the true medicine. I became a Nurse because it's my purpose in life to care for others and assist them in their lives when it's needed. Being a nurse is extremely fulfilling in my life. I like being able to care for my patients and understand them and see a smile on their face when we reach their goals. My personal achievement that I am so proud of is when I obtained my LVN license, it's always been a passion and goal of mine to become a nurse.

`My passion is helping people anyway possible. It started when I was 15 yrs old and I cared for my grandfather who had a hip replacement and cancer. Since then I've worked as a CNA and a caregiver for varies companies. The elderly takes my heart away, I love spending time with them, because they are a wealth of knowledge, and it does my heart good when I can render service to them when they are no longer able to do for themselves. The elderly as well as anyone who is unable to do for themselves, deserves to be treated with the upmost respect and given the best care given available. I've recently graduated from LVN school and plan on gaining as much knowledge possible to enable to provide further care to my clients.
