I am proficient in basic skills: personal hygiene like showers/bath, oral care, toileting, back-rub, dressing; Assists in activities of daily living such as serving & feeding, ambulating, positioning, transferring, administer meds & nutritional supplements, dressings surgical prep; Do & record vital sign: blood pressure, weight, pulse, temperature, finger pricking for sugar levels in diabetics; Measure & record food & liquid intake, urinary & fecal output and report changes. Encourage patient to exercise. Review & ask dietary restrictions, preferences, & allergies. Change bed linens, replace trash bags. Always check expiration of food & medicines. Know vital information about patient's condition, treatment plan & any suggested activity.. In a capsule, it is very important to respond immediately to patient's call for assistance and/or treatment with the goal of creating a safe, effective environment to make a difference in the lives of the patient & their families. Now, some time later, I can say that there is a satisfaction in knowing that I am playing a small role in a family's journey to best provide for their loved one. Being called a friend of a nearly 90 year old man who I've know a fraction of that time is something I will most likely always hold dear. Listening to stories of a childhood in a different era, a marriage that spanned over six decades, and the ups and downs of a life lived are all things not easily obtained. As someone who can't stand the sight of others in pain or misery, I look forward to providing compassion with dignity and care with expertise for your loved one.

I am hard-working reliable responsible trustworthy I'm very passionate about my job I got into this career path 2005 when I had to care for my grandmother who was dying from cancer after caring for my grandmother I found myself helping other family members and family friends I feel you have to Be passionate and his work field it takes a certain type of person to deal with every day living watching a person decline is not easy for family members to care for their family members when they have to take care of their family as well So I have a lot of spare time and I would like to give my time back to family they need to take care of a family members
