I take my job very serious, I am very respectful, hard worker , intelligent and have fun. I do specialized in working with Autism, mental health, care giving, I love sports, gym, work with any individuals with mental health.

I am a very organized and time oriented person. I care about my work and love what I do. It always been in my heart to help people especially the elderly. I love talking to the people I care for and hearing their stories and what they were like as teenagers. I believe my great work ethic and big heart makes me the perfect caregiver. I want to work as a caregiver for the elderly because I feel since they raised us and took care of us, we need to repay the favor when they are no longer able to do for themselves.

I'm very much a people person & highly empathetic. I knew I wanted to be a caretaker/Nurse since high school working as a volunteer in local hospital. I come from a family of caretakers so it's in my genetics. I've done many aspects of caregiving from rooming patients in local clinic to skilled unit in nursing facility & Alzheimer's unit. I love geriatric care due to the respect I have for the elderly. They've earned it for surviving through hardships I've only read about & learned in history class, which brings me to the fact that they have the best stories to tell if able to. I take pride in my care & the bigger the challenge it is with not so happy clients/patients I manage to get them to open up a bit & do my best to turn there frown upside down raising there spirits up. I welcome new challenges & learning about something new especially if it helps my care towards my patient. Dementia/Alzheimer's care is my specialty.

I have worked in the health care industry on and off for nearly 30 years. I have worked in nursing homes, assisted livings, group homes and have done home health care. I have some various RN general credits towards my RN and am approximately one semester away from completing my LPN. The last semester is mainly clinicals.

I became a caregiver to make a difference in the lives of others, to be able to go to work and come home and look myself in the mirror and known I had done something worthwhile and good. It is rewarding work, where I can make personal connections with others, and make use of my naturally empathetic nature and drive to take care of people.
