I started helping my mom with my dad when I was 14 yrs old after he had a stroke. I fell in love with helping people. My favorite thing about being a caregiver aside from helping them with what they need is the bonds that are formed. The clients sort of become family. I'm a mom to 2 kids and bonus mom to 3 others. Raising them in this dark world to be kind and loving and respectful as well as respectable is my biggest accomplishment.

Hello! I'm Elizabeth and I have a soft spot for taking care of people, whether it's young children or the elderly who aren't able to take care of themselves 100% anymore. I started taking care of my grandparents, mostly my grandmother, at the time when I was about 12 years old all the way up until she passed away when I was 18. Being able to help her in ways she wasn't able to made me feel like I was giving back to her, and my whole family. I loved cooking and baking things for her and keeping her company. I would also run errands for her, go shopping for groceries and other things of that sort. She became my best friend. I put 100% into everything I did for her. And now I take care of my grandpa when he needs me too, I do his taxes for him and run errands with him. A couple of years after she had passed I went and was a dietary cook/aide at a retirement home, I wanted to keep giving back and helping the elderly as much as I could. If something was on the menu and I knew some of the residents didn't particularly like what was going to be served I would go to each room and ask if they would prefer something different for the meal. I wanted everyone to feel like they mattered to me. One of the things that really makes me feel good about being a caregiver is when I can tell I make their day better. Seeing them happy made my heart smile. I'm most proud of myself for how far I have came in life. I didn't have many real friends growing up, I was always way to nice to everyone and I was always taken advantage of by my peers. I have learned that not everyone is perfect and that's okay.

I love working with the Elderly and the disabled because I've always like helping people threw my life time. Friends family and I've done homecare 3 yrs for my mom and I did homecare 4and 1/2 yrs for my grandfather till he passed at 99 yrs old and I had a wonderful experience with him and I wanted his last year's to be happy and I wanted to let him know that he was appreciated and loved still. Because he thought he was a burden. I made him feel happy to be alive . I love to let people know that " It don't matter how old or if you can't do the things you use to do , it's ok because once upon a time you did and you will always be remembered. You left a mark in someone's heart or mind and they became the person they are and your friends and loved ones will always remember you. So now it's your time to relax and enjoy your retirement. You did your part in this world and now it's ower turn to make sure we make you happy and thank you for what you've done and it's our turn to make a difference in this world. And my difference in this world is helping our elderly and our handicap and the needy. That's where I feel I make a difference and I believe I'm needed and that's why I love working in this field. I always loved to help others and with the lost of my father I realized how hard the last few years with him was and how little help I had with the other pressures in life it took a toll so I quit my job to stay home with my dad and I seen the difference that hands on and love made with him and I knew then this was what I was meant to do in life share my love and compassion with others

I got my start in elderly care at the young age of 10 years old. My parents built their own beautiful assisted living center when their parents needed that extra attention. They wanted to avoid the long hallways, strong odors, and seemingly lack of care and concern for our elders you often find in nursing homes. Your loved one is not a number among dozens to be dealt with. They are family, and I'm here to aid them in the sunset years of their life with authentic respect and compassion. After a service mission abroad where I volunteered at abused women's shelters, I obtained my license as a CNA and MAT and worked in health care communities in both Idaho and here in Oklahoma where I currently reside. I took a break to have 3 beautiful daughters and am excited to re-enter the workforce and develop connections and offer aid to your elderly again.

HI there. I seem to always remind people of someone else. I smile a LOT. And love conversation BUT... that does not mean I talk a LOT either. Some of my clients are more on the quiet side and I "go" with that. People are interesting. EVERYONE has a story to tell and of course, everyone's story is unique. Sometimes my client and I will go into the kitchen and cook or bake and some clients HATE to be in the kitchen. Do you love to take walks? How about drive around and "see the sights"? Ahhh... how about this--- a great game of Dominos? OK.. you don't like those? No problem. I love crafts... how about taking great pictures? Are you a camera buff? Can you sing? Play a musical instrument? I was a piano and french horn major in college. Well.. maybe you are more of a reader. OH YES! I love to read! One of my favorite hobbies -- love to read especially Reader's Digest or.. how about this one, "This Ole House".. or a gardening book? You love animals? So do I. Maybe you need a haircut. I have cut my client's hair because they can't get out. Just in case you are wondering....... no.... never have done that for a living-was never trained in that profession but just watching others do it and I love to learn new things. Right now, reading a how-to book... on plumbing. So.. is there anything your are interested in learning? Never too old to learn new things.

I'm a very loving person I'm funny at times. I've always loved working for seniors so knowing I would be able to be around them everyday and be a big part of their love I chose this path ! I enjoy being around and knowing I'm making a difference or making someone's day.

I'm a Single Mother of three kids and I enjoy them.
