I always loved to help others and with the lost of my father I realized how hard the last few years with him was and how little help I had with the other pressures in life it took a toll so I quit my job to stay home with my dad and I seen the difference that hands on and love made with him and I knew then this was what I was meant to do in life share my love and compassion with others

HI there. I seem to always remind people of someone else. I smile a LOT. And love conversation BUT... that does not mean I talk a LOT either. Some of my clients are more on the quiet side and I "go" with that. People are interesting. EVERYONE has a story to tell and of course, everyone's story is unique. Sometimes my client and I will go into the kitchen and cook or bake and some clients HATE to be in the kitchen. Do you love to take walks? How about drive around and "see the sights"? Ahhh... how about this--- a great game of Dominos? OK.. you don't like those? No problem. I love crafts... how about taking great pictures? Are you a camera buff? Can you sing? Play a musical instrument? I was a piano and french horn major in college. Well.. maybe you are more of a reader. OH YES! I love to read! One of my favorite hobbies -- love to read especially Reader's Digest or.. how about this one, "This Ole House".. or a gardening book? You love animals? So do I. Maybe you need a haircut. I have cut my client's hair because they can't get out. Just in case you are wondering....... no.... never have done that for a living-was never trained in that profession but just watching others do it and I love to learn new things. Right now, reading a how-to book... on plumbing. So.. is there anything your are interested in learning? Never too old to learn new things.

Im a good listener and very considerate of other. Im a friendly calm, talkative, smiley face . I rarely meet any strangers and I treat everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve . The things I enjoy most about working with the elderly is being the one they can count on, the aide they love to see coming into work because they know im going to take good care of them during my shift . I enjoy making a difference in their day. Being able to help them do things they no longer are capable of doing themselves or cant do to the best of their own abilty anymore. I do it all. I cook, clean, run errands, dress, groom, shower, assist with toileting, laundry, comfort the best I can, med reminder ect.

Hello my name is Miranda , I've been doing my wonderful job for almost 8 yrs now. I've met some amazing people over the yrs. Dementia and Alzheimer's and Parkinson's are just a few of the conditions I've worked with , I've done live ins , doctors appointments, companionship, cleaning , cooking , bathing , med reminders. Some of the things about me is I put my whole self in what I do , I truly believe I was put on this earth to help . I have two dogs and a 14 yr old daughter , love to read and cook. I volunteer some of my time at a rescue in Blanchard when we have free time. One of the fun things that I think is quite fun is punting or , playing cards or just siting in the backyard talking. Or just sitting and watching tv. Anything to help , I've found just sitting and listening to the lives are the most personal. I love my job and all it entails.

I have a great happy attitude, try to keep them smiling and laughing, i love elderly people and HATE nursing homes, i have taken care of all kinds of patients from alzheimers, parkinsons, lewy body, cancer, stroke, hospice care , companionship, meals, houskeeping, showering, transportation, i have excellent refrences, thank you.

I've been a CNA for 15yrs. I have work in Nursing homes and hospitals. I know how to do vitals, transfer patients. I've also had my CMA and have passed medicine in groups home, assisted living centers, and nursing homes. I really enjoy taking care or helping people. I am currently a phlebotomist. Even though I enjoy it alot, it doesn't always give me feeling of gratitude that caring or helping someone does.

I started doing private care about 8 years ago 4 years into it I realized I liked doing it . So I went and got certified to broaden my work area . Last year I was nominated for CNA of the year at the last facility I worked . Then I went to mission hospice . People asked me when they find out I worked for a hospice company they ask ain't that a difficult job . I responded with "no it is a blessing and I learn so much from the people I take care of ."
