I began caregiving because growing up, I had a parent that looked to me for support. That stuck with me and really let me see how much my help supported another person to live their life more fully. I enjoy getting to know new people and know everyone has a story. I feel working with mentally disabled individuals and other illnesses has opened my eyes to how amazing people can be and how much they can shine with just a great support team. I'm a CNA who has been caring for seniors over the past 14 years in conjunction with other caregivers in their private homes. I assisted with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, medication reminders, maintaining adequate groceries in the house through the family. I engaged in daily activities, including organizing mail, managing appointments, and exercising. I provided daily transferring of the patient from bed to wheelchair, to recliner and walking around the house and assisted with exercise programs. I enjoy working with Seniors so that they can live in their homes as long as possible and so that their family members can have peace of mind.
