i have extensive experience caring for people. i previously ran a 12 person adult care facility, caring for their every need 24hrs a day. i love helping people gain their independence back and assisting them with daily tasks to make them feel more independent.

I spent 11 years in the military in which I was honorably discharged at the end of 2012. I completed and received an associate degree in art while serving. I continued my education while being unemployed from the time I was released from the military until April of 2013 and earned a bachelor degree in psychology. A week later I began practical nursing school and graduated top of my class a year later and was rewarded the leadership award. I passed my state board and earned my Practical Nursing license with an IV certification. I have since worked as an admission nurse, hospice nurse, agency nurse, floor nurse, managed a long term care facility, and was a day shift manager as well as a day shift unit supervisor. I recently completed my associate's degree in science in nursing and am waiting to sit for boards for my registered nursing license. I am looking to slowly transition from the facility setting into private duty helping people in their home setting.

I am a compassionate, empathetic, hardworking mom of 5 kids, two of which are grown and gone. This past year I helped care for my dad, who had a stroke, and I would consider it an honor to help care for your friend or loved one. I worked as a supervisor of an Assisted Living facility for the last 15 years .I decided to become a caregiver when my father needed end of life care . The girls that took care of my dad made things a lot easier on my father and my family as well..so much so that I decided to become one of those girls !
