i am a 37 year old woman with 2 children in the age range of 12 and 17. i became a caregiver because of the fact i love helping people when they are in need. i like being able to just help. my grandmother has Alzheimer since 2002 she moved here with us when it got to much for her to be by herself in Chicago and i have been caring for her since i got to get alot of certificates in alot of different diseases

There are many qualities that make one a great caregiver. My qualities are that I try to do my best when working with residents as well as trying to understand them. Aging out does not mean they do not have needs or that they should not be heard, I try to use critical thinking and make every resident as comfortable as possible so their needs are being met. I am an outgoing person I love to help others and exceed my job expectations, I am a carrying person who is easygoing and takes responsibilities as well as the needs of others seriously. I have a grandfather with dementia and this made me want to help others who need an assistant. I have seen the lack of caregivers there is for elders. I love caregiving because it allows me to have a better understanding of what goes on in others' life and I get to be part of people's life making a difference in assisting them or bringing them a smile. I am proud of the person I am and how far I have gotten with my psychology and social work bachelors that I am currently working on.

I am looking for a full time long term live-in position. I am drug free, only drink socially and do NOT do drugs. I will relocate myself upon hire. Here's my short list: I am a 62 year old semi-retired Respiratory Therapist. I have my own vehicles. I am very organized and have lots of experience caring for people. Excellent cook, housekeeper and home organizer. I currently cook, clean and do laundry for my client in addition to his personal care and companionship. My current position is live-in with room and board and $525 per week salary. I work for myself on a cash basis. I lately worked as a live-in caregiver for an 88 year old who recently went into hospice care and has passed away, I currently work as a live-in Resident Assistant at an Adult Family Group Home for developmentally disabled. Prior to that, I was a personal assistant/housekeeper/cook for Racine's Case High School Principal (Wisconsin), until he moved to CA for health issues. Prior to that I was live-in Housekeeper/cook for a professional gay couple in Trevor, WI. I have tons of experience with children, and have a 35 year medical background. Also interested in positions in Ashland County, OH 44805 area and will re-locate for the right position. Please be aware of State Laws regarding live-in domestic care givers hours for work. There are time off requirements. 24 hours a day 7 days per week is not an expectation you should have. It's demanding work and all caregivers need time to recharge. I am a very compassionate LPN. I have years of experience caring for the elderly in FL as well as in WI. I believe that I am using the gifts that God has given me to help others and to bring joy into peoples lives by being kind. My greatest achievement has been helping my mother care for my father who was in hospice in MA.

I consider myself to be very compassionate, caring and supportive as a person. I have good communication skills and I always carry a positive attitude. Caregiving is a huge personal accomplishment for. The ability to be very resourceful help people gives me joy. It has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. My major accomplishment in caregiving is being able to make a difference in the life of people and cherishing those precious moments.

I would say I am great care giver because I always put the well being of my client first, I am very old fashion, respectful, funny and alway exceptionally professional. I am always open to learn and a very fast learner at that. For me being a care giver helps to give back to the elderly and help to make their lives easier.

I'm a certified nursing assistant, with two years of experience. Within those two years, I've helped people who had strokes, Parkinson's disease, pancreatic cancer, who suffered from loss or depression, and dementia. I am an extremely passionate and hard worker. My patients are not simply patients, but family to me. It is in my greatest interest to make my clients healthy and happy. I like to take my clients out to eat, to parks, play board games, watch movies, or whatever makes them happiest. What attracted me to being a caregiver was when I had to take care of my aunt with stage four pancreatic cancer. It made me realize how many people need help and that I want to be the one to help them. I enjoy making people feel better, even if they are at their worst.

Hello! I'm Celia and I have been serving others my entire life in my occupational fields of HR, education and now nursing as well as in my community as a Girl Scout leader, religious education teacher and moms/tots founder and organizer. I was a leader for an SOS trip to Memphis TN in Orange Mound to build roofs and create gardens for the well deserved residents in that neighborhood. I have raised 4 children who are all currently in college in the areas of Marine Biology, Nursing, Computer Science and Construction Management. I am resilient, outgoing, dependable, caring and compassionate. I enjoy serving others and helping them to be their very BEST version of theirselves no matter what biological age or journey they are currently on. I am open and honest at all times and culturally competent. I serve my church as a greeter and cookie baker and have always been happiest while serving other and helping to make their day brighter!
