I am looking for a full time long term live-in position. I am drug free, only drink socially and do NOT do drugs. I will relocate myself upon hire. Here's my short list: I am a 62 year old semi-retired Respiratory Therapist. I have my own vehicles. I am very organized and have lots of experience caring for people. Excellent cook, housekeeper and home organizer. I currently cook, clean and do laundry for my client in addition to his personal care and companionship. My current position is live-in with room and board and $525 per week salary. I work for myself on a cash basis. I lately worked as a live-in caregiver for an 88 year old who recently went into hospice care and has passed away, I currently work as a live-in Resident Assistant at an Adult Family Group Home for developmentally disabled. Prior to that, I was a personal assistant/housekeeper/cook for Racine's Case High School Principal (Wisconsin), until he moved to CA for health issues. Prior to that I was live-in Housekeeper/cook for a professional gay couple in Trevor, WI. I have tons of experience with children, and have a 35 year medical background. Also interested in positions in Ashland County, OH 44805 area and will re-locate for the right position. Please be aware of State Laws regarding live-in domestic care givers hours for work. There are time off requirements. 24 hours a day 7 days per week is not an expectation you should have. It's demanding work and all caregivers need time to recharge. I love to think of myself as a smart fun loving woman. I have always been a caregiver at heart from the time I was fifteen my great grandmother became ill and i loved going to her house hearing stories. So naturally I help with all her health care needs that came along in the day as we would sit and talk and cook I would get her medications and do anything else she needed. And after her passing I really wanted to get in the care worker field.

I love to help Seniors and Elderly as they become disable or frail due to increase in age. I have 10+ years of experience as caregiver, 5+ years as Live-in. I want to work as Live-in Caregiver or Long Shifts. Initially I was taking care at my home itself to look after the loved one. Later on it became my profession. Thanks to Madison Technical College who trained me to obtain my Certification as Nursing Assistant. I got my Nursing Aide License in 2009. My sincere efforts rewarded me as Employee of the Month during my health care career. It is a profession which include several work tasks, one cannot write in complete details, it may take lot of time and writing space. However, to name a few: Activities of Daily living, toileting, oral hygiene, bathing, skin care, nail care, dressing, meal preparation and feeding. In case of transfers: Hoyer lift, Ez lift, wheel chair transfers. Med reminders, errands and shopping. Doctor's appointment or recreational trips. Range of Motion and other instructed exercises if any. Light house keeping and laundry is also a part of the Caregiver's job. Time management, client's safety and security is also first priority to be provided to clients. Apart from physical support, emotional assistance is also important while providing care.

I became a Caregiver when my husband was ill with cirrhosis of the liver. I get such a huge lift by having the chance to give back to others in need. I am able to rely on past knowledge and education as part of the learning experience that led to my husbands pre-and post transplant recovery. I loved to see the elderly smile and I helped my mom take care of my Grandma till she passed away ... the appreciation and the Love from the Elderly and handicapped I care for.. being able to help this old man find how to contact his Wife who was in the Hospital and I also was able to get this Lady to feel like laughing after being so miserable for having to be in a memory Care facility.. I am a big hearted & caring CNA , mother of a Daughter and a Son . I live out in the Country and lived in Wisconsin for 9 yrs.
