I first started working with elders within my monastery taking care of their basic needs and taking them back and forth to doctor's appointments and following their doctors care of plan. That transmitted to my professional work life as a certified nursing aide, as I work in the nursing homes and also in private home settings. I have worked in places from the ER, to the hospitals, nursing homes and in people's homes. I believe your loved one has the right to live the best life they can even when they are not feeling their best, battling a sickness or are elderly. It's not my job to be their boss as I work for them. I enjoy seeing them still do whatever they can to live the best life they can. I love helping people it gives me a sense of joy and warms my soul. It makes me a better person, it has taught me patience and to enjoy every moment of everyday even when it's not the greatest of days. I am proud of the mom I am. I started out with the desire to be a caregiver after helping to take care of my great grandmother as a child. Also my mom and grandmother are both nurses. I enjoyed being able to help people who need help. What makes me good at what I do is my compassion. I love people, all kinds of people. I have taken care of all ages, from all over the world. I learn who they are, where they are from, what they like, and what they believe in. And from there I respect all their wishes and do everything I can to ensure they are happy and well taken care of.
