I have been a caregiver 37 years. Always had a good repore with elderly growing up. Being there to help a loved one played a major roll in my job. I've worked in Assisted living facilities, Nursing homes and absolutely love it. I've used machinery like hoyer lifts, and other things. I'd prefer to stay away from that and heavy lifting. I also had my own assisted living years ago in upstate Ny.. I'm very experienced and I make it my buisness to be punctual and dependable. I take pride in my skills and I do my very best at all times. I am a caregiver who likes to demonstrate empathy and compassion for senior. Supporting the patient's family members, who may be struggling to cope with their loved one's decline. I feel the desire to want to help as a caregiver will, I'll let the family and the patient know that I care about them. For instance, I will try to do what i can to help not because I have to, but because i want to, putting a smile on my patients face every is my goal making happy and feel loved .

I have Self-control, sincere, devoted, generous, and kind. As a mother, and someone who came from a large family in which caregiving is rooted deep in my culture, I always wanted to take caregiving as a career and improve along that pathway. I like to entertain, converse, and read aloud to keep my patients or resident's alert. I also like to run errands and do weekly grocery shopping for them. In 2015 I started giving care to a couple. The wife pre-deceased the husband whom I continue to take care of. It has been 7 years now and counting, the children of this patient no longer consider me as a caregiver, but a family member because (according to them) of the 5-star care that I give to their dad. This is my personal achievement that I am most proud of in my career as a care giver.

The reason I become a caregiver because I enjoy taking care of the elderly, sick, and handicapped. I enjoy making sure client are safe, healthy, and comfortable and will treat my clients and family members with respect. I started home health aide in 2000 and I have excellent letters of recommendation from clients and my past work history. I am dependable, honest, work well under pressure, I enjoy doing activities with my clients, and playing educational games. I have been during home health aide for over thirteen years and currently working with my current client. I am certified in American Heart Association, Licensed in under the DC Board of Nursing in Home Health Aide and also have a certificate in activities assistant. I became a certified nursing assistant in May of 2000. I have worked in many specialties in the healthcare field which consists of med-surg, telemetry,Icu,Brain and Injury, Rehab and Pacu. I also worked in Hospice, and home health for 15 years. I am currently working towards Nursing degree.

I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I have families who still keep in touch with me because of how wonderful i took care of their love ones. I have achieve so many things from being a care giver. like getting to know the different backgrounds of my clients. but my great achievements is putting a smile on their faces. I came from big family very loving very caring. I was raised to love, to give, to care, to be patient with others also to be concerned about needs of others. I love to talk laugh also listen.
