I am a great empathetic caregiver because I am very compassionate about my work. I have been working in healthcare for over 6 years now. I'm just a person who is always reaching out to help people. I wanted to join healthcare ever since I was a little girl because I inspired to be someone that is able to help someone in need. This is my passion & my gift I could not see me doing anything else in life this is what I'm dedicated to. I became a certified nursing assistant in May of 2000. I have worked in many specialties in the healthcare field which consists of med-surg, telemetry,Icu,Brain and Injury, Rehab and Pacu. I also worked in Hospice, and home health for 15 years. I am currently working towards Nursing degree.

I've always been the compassionate person caring for other even when I was teenager. Come up watching my mother and grandmother as nurses and childcare provider it became natural to me. So when started high school I enroll in Nurseing program pass with excellent grades during I class hours we went to nursing home for hand on experience I then new this was what I liked doing. During summer break of school I work at local nursing home facility also had to attend monthly educational inservices were I learn the RESIDENTS RIGHTS,HIPPA, BIOHAZARD POLICY and INFECTION CONTROL .

I became a caregiver in 2005, because I love helping elderly people to feel independent at all times in their own homes. I am experienced in the field of health care by assisting, encouraging, supporting and supervising with their daily needs and goals. I love what I do in helping elderly and individuals that I have been working with. It has made my understanding of life very effectively. Every thing that I put my mind to I achieved, I am really self motivated. I am compassionate, nurturing, dependable, trustworthy and empathetic. My great achievement is yet to come. I am a female who lived in Lorton Virginia with my lovely son. I achieved my Associate degree in nursing at Northern Community College and looking forward to pursuing my Bachelors of Science in nursing at George Mason University. I am a very empathetic, compassionate and patient person. I enjoy working with the disabled, sick, elderly, children and anyone that can use the right nourishment and care. I love treating others well as a Caregiver because I always have it in mind that with life one should expect a lot of changes, challenges and experiences and these may be getting sick, accidents or growing old because it is the order of the day. So, I always imagine myself into that person's situation Iam caring for. The question that pops up in my head is what if that's me, my parents or my lovely daughter. This prompts me to treat others the same way I would wish to be treated or cared for in case I was in that position. My greatest achievement is putting a smile on someone i have given care for. I become a caregiver when my mom got sick. I realize at that moment I will be a good aide. I love taking care of people. I really enjoy the feeling of putting a smile on someone's face. letting them know they can always count on me to be there to assist when the needs arises. I have recieved awards for my job. I have families who still keep in touch with me because of how wonderful i took care of their love ones.
