I have been working as a Caregiver over a 8 yeara now and I love it. You get to meet new people all the time. I work my own hours. A lot of time the people I have worked for just wanted companionship with lite cleaning. I choose Saturday to work because this my second job. Enclosure I would love to bring Joy, Peace. I became a caregiver when I realize, no one else was going to be able to fill the needs of my granny, Granny had a stroke and blood disease but was ok .. I was in Atlanta about to open hair salon with my best friend, Meanwhile I get call from my daughter granny wasn't getting any better. A week later I went home to visit granny as I walked around the house and saw how poorly she was managing, I knew I had make a difficult choice. I walked away from my business ... and put my life on hold. as it were to care for my granny who have giving so much to this world ..It was a choice , but it was also true that choosing not to help her was not an option , Not a choice and obligation to the one we love.. Before granny pass she would always say to me .. you are God's choosing one.. Love ! After that I took care of my best friend mom,,and my neighbors love ones .. I've always know my calling was to help others at the same time I knew I wanted to be caregiver

I enjoy working with people. I'm very empathetic. I'm a great worker. I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. I have been in the health care setting for over twenty years. I learn at an early age from my mother about how important and rewarding it is to take care of the elderly. My mother toke care of her mother and father and aunt and uncle. She brought them in her home and toke care of them. I helped her with them. Then I brought my mother and my father in my home and toke care of them with help of my husband till they pass in 2009. I've worked at three different hospital over twenty years. I am now 56 years old and work as a caregiver. I enjoy my job it is very rewarding work. I was also a foster parent so I enjoy children as well. I started this journey in memory of my Grandmother Mrs. Bernice Hair, she was the best and she passed away when I was 14 years old. I loved her and still wish she was here to witness my heart physically!
